Well after a quick call to nintendo just now, a rep said as long as its locked in place it can wobble a little, as long as it doesnt close on your hands or anything.
Does that mean this is supposed to happen?
lol. It means he isnt going to say its a problem. He CANT say "oh yeah we messed up on that.". Nintendo would rather claim that its "not a problem" then admit accidents happen. (Look at 360 launch). Crashing & Freezing consoles, disk read errors, etc etc. Microsoft was like "oh that can happen sometimes. just try again. anything else i can help you with?" wasnt untill the RRoD that they finally said "well, F*ck." lol.
Moral of the story, Wait for the RRoD on your 3DS.
it sounds like 99% of 3DS's made have this jiggle problem, and nintendo is not going to fix all of them, so. Maybe future models manufatered will have this fixed and you can trade it in or a buy a new one.
This is comming from a long time 360 owner, i've went through so many problems with my 360 consoles (yes, Plural), So really, is a somewhat jiggly screen Killing You?
