Hardware Nintendo rep says the screen should wobble

Well after a quick call to nintendo just now, a rep said as long as its locked in place it can wobble a little, as long as it doesnt close on your hands or anything.

Does that mean this is supposed to happen?

I don't think it was meant to wobble, but it's such a small problem, they don't have to address/fix it.

I agree..Mine barely wobbles but it was enough that when I let my friend play to try the system out its the very first thing he said to me...."Hmmmm the screens a little wobbly" and as little as it does wobble (its very little in my case) it is annoying and I will be going soon to trade in for a non-wobbly one. Ive had my dslite for awhile and its solid and thats how imo this one should be.

Nintendo reps don't know anything.

I remember calling them about the Wii pixel of death and they said I made it up and they have never heard of it.

They talk so much shit, it's not funny, just to cover their asses. It's not supposed to wobble, over time as you play, it would suffer slightly from wear. However, if it wobbles slightly, it's alright. If it's pretty wobbly, then must of been unlucky.

lompoc (which I find odd is the name of a prison) thinks he knows everything about everything related to the DS, DSi, 3DS, and DS Scene and spouts off nonsensical ramblings that are more qq than fact. He thinks that AceKard (more specifically Normatt and/or YWG?) are single-handedly destroying the DS Scene.

Well, if you're annoyed with the loose hinge, it's covered with your 1 year warranty. I'm going to replace mine as soon as the system transfer feature is implemented so I dont lose all my Street Pass data.

Mine wobbles a bit less than that but if I shake it hard enough I can make the screen move into the full back position.

Mine has a little wobble too. It's not an issue, though, because I don't shake the system while I play. As long as you're relatively still, gravity should hold the top panel against the hinge "default position".
