Am I the only one who thinks it's weird that we haven't seen any 3DS games dumped yet? I mean, the media has had US games for weeks now, and Japanese games have been at retail for well over a month. What is taking so long?
3DS games aren't DS games. They don't know how to dump them.

And who has one of those 'lying around'? DSi dumps were worth while since you could still play them on the older DS mode without issues. Since you can't do that with 3DS games it makes no sense to dump them and release it. A dump would be useful from a technical perspective in terms of how it is done and if there are any differences between how a 3DS ROM looks. But to 'regular' users it would be of little to no value. Let the hackers at Team Twiizers and the like hack away at dumping roms and analysing how the 3DS works.

It's not about piracy, but about furthering constructive analysis of 3DS architecture, software capabilities, etc.. in regards to create new and exiting 3DS homebrew. I for one would love to poke around a dump in a hex editor and see what I can see.
However, to your point, this topic is probably the wrong place, perhaps belonging more in the Hacking forum.

I'm a doubter, I just like to de-rail bandwagons.
I don't see the point in hacking my 3DS when I get it anyway. Partially because I only turned to piracy because I was unemployed and thus needed to steal my games or simply not have anything to do, but mostly because even if it is eventually hacked, I get the feeling 3DS roms are gonna be fuckin' huge, big enough so that it would take my feeble setup too long to download them to be worth my time.
Besides, I think the cute girl in my local GAME store would be much more open to the idea of a date if I ever spent any money in the store instead of just dropping in to kill time.
