Just remember it comes with a CD containing music from SMB to SMG2 and a 25th anniversairy Mario booklet. Although, someone will probably rip the music and put a PDF of the booklet and all of the music on the internet somewhere.

Oh, well. I'm still going to get it Christmas day. It's a collector's item so you can only really get it once, anyway.

I'm still happy it came out!

This game have 2 advantages:

1 - Deleting SMB, SMB2 e SMB3 (VC channels) you save some blocks from your wii system memory (few blocks, but you save it

)

2 - You can play with wiimote and can let your GC controller rest a little...

Besides that... I see no good reason for buy it...

1º You get Super Mario All Stars + World ROM, get Snes9x and enjoy.

2º You can play with WiiMote, WiiMote + Nunchuk, Classic Controller and GC Controller

QUOTE(Spenstar @ Dec 14 2010, 09:20 PM) At least its $30 where as Wii games here usually cost $50

Think you're buying the CD, the book and etc. The problem is they can sell all this without Super Mario Collection.

I'm sure if Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Other M boost the Wii sales, we don't see this.

The rom on the disc is LZH8 compressed, as well as a sample file containing the samples. Use an LZH8 decompressor and decompress both files and you get the 2MB rom and 183k sample file. It's in the /files/content5 directory. I used lzh8_cmpdec07. I wonder if you can patch the sample file to the rom and get a snes emu to play it. Maybe snes emu's will support the sample file in the future?

To date, are any snes or nes VC games emulated this way?

What a waste....I've already owned all these games on 3 different formats (NES individual games, SNES SMB all stars & VC individual games) There is NO WAY I'm paying for the same game 4 times...It's just not happening!! They could have at least added some extra in-game content, maybe touched up the graphics a little....I feel like they just got lazy. This is how they thank us loyal ninty fanboys for 25 years of dedication?!?!?!?! Boo, Ninty!!!
