QUOTE(two-rok @ Sep 5 2010, 02:04 AM) so if i reinstall the IOS's with DOP-Mii and then launch hackmii from preloader, wouldn't it work as if i were running from MMM app launcher?
Touching IOS/SM related to preloader risks removing preloader.

Try different approach. Launch DOP-Mii.
You should be on IOS selection, select IOS249 using DPAD and press A.
Then "IOS, BC, MIOS" - press A.
Select title to IOS36.
Select version to v3607 (or older one but high available).
Then "+".
Say No to any patches.
Install.

Pray a little then reboot.

Then try to run HBC installer from priiload.

Could You make picture of preloader screen? Especially if there is any technical info displayed.

There are 2 versions of installer in latest HBC installer - tried them both?
And if it won't work... another crazy (but safe) idea.
Just try HBC installer one version older. If won't work, try again with older one, and again.

only technical info displayed by preloader is that is using IOS30 and system menu (290) which is 3.2E (PAL)

i did try them both (the mini and the "normal" one)

i'll try to dig some older hbc installer dol/elf's

I wouldn't do anything hasty - installing system menu wads in a desperate attempt to get your Wii working is a recipe for a full brick.

You currently have a working Preloader - you will get unbricked. But if you don't take your time and think about what you're doing, you'll fail.

[I am NOT experienced, do not take the following advice without someone who knows what they're doing says do it] What about installing an IOS for, say, 4.0, 4.1, 4.2 system menu, then installing that system menu wad?

We know that and try to install any recovery method (bootmii@boot2 especially) before reinstalling system menu and corresponding IOS.

That is our last option.
SM 3.2E (v290) requires IOS30 (v1040 or never).

Great to hear that!
What did You do after hackmii beta1 exactly?

Now it's standard procedure.
Update HBC, bootmii@boot2, bootmii@IOS to latest versions. Banerbomb should work fine if any hangs when running soft from old HBC. Make another nand backup.

Then pick You destiny:
- load legit games from discs. IOSes update requred. Post syscheck (using spoiler tag)
- usb loader. http://gwht.wikidot.com/ios236 http://gwht.wikidot.com/ios249 http://gwht.wikidot.com/usb-loader
