Hello all, specially Dr. Clipper!

I opened a new request in CFG's googlecode webpage. Please ignore the "issue" mark and consider a request.

I found that it could be a really nice addition if added.

Dr. Clipper, possibly this won't make a notice, but here it goes, a good option for CFG USB Loader can be the automatic download of cheat codes for all games in hard disk, or, an automatic update for current cheat codes installed, either can be grateful.

Hope this helps grow the best USB loader in the scene.

Well, seems noone answer my question or propossal, hope DrClipper can check and answer me.

None of us are interested in adding anything to the cheat engine unless there is something obviously broken.

I'm having a bit of trouble with isos off of a NTFS drive-the drive is recognized but no games are found.
the filetree right now is drive>wbfs>games>R49J
and drive>wbfs>games>R49
which are both two gameID codes i switched out for the filename, which i also tried without successes.
Anyone know what i am doing wrong?
You are using the erong directories. Check the first post of this thread for info about the correct locations and names for files.

QUOTE(DasI @ Aug 10 2010, 05:48 AM) Hi, All!

Have 640GB USB HDD with single NTFS partition. Have CIOSx rev19 and Hermes 222/223 installed. Successfully playing *.wbfs files with CFG USB Loader.

Tried upgrading CIOSx to rev20b(default settings: base 57, slot 249) without success. It cannot mount USB drive after upgrade - it just timeouts after 30 seconds countdown. And also I've noticed that Homebrew Browser also reports that it is unable to mount USB HDD... When returning back to rev19 - everything is working again.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
Try other bases. Also, try installing rev20base56 to ios248 and using ios=248 on config.txt.

I keep asking the same question, about this, but nobody seems to answer. The write_playlog option allows you to have Cfg store all your correct playtimes to the message board. That means the NCard App should then be able to get the data and send it off like it does for games played from disc. Isn't this all you need to have NCard support?

Is their a better online covers database than the default one because I am really sick of this file is not recognized so I end up with no covers for the back.. yet if I go online to the site the covers display. Covers really seem to be too non standard and always missing something or other.

WiiTDB is definitely the best site. It is not possible for the cover to be on the site and not downloaded by Cfg, unless there is a region change involved somehow. Please indicate the game ID (check the options page in Cfg to see it) and the WiiTDB page that you think is not downloading and I should be able to give you an alternate URL to add to your URL list so that it does find the cover.

Well, yes, but this way we need to run the "updater" app, so the NCard is updated. What I mean with my request is to enable CFG to do the update automatically using the provided API.

To be honest I tried to download the source code from SVN and compile it (without changes), but it keeps giving me Exception (ISI) black screens.

I suppose I'm missing something or my environment is not mounted accordingly to CFG needs. There are any guide to compile it successfully?

Many thanks!

Note that you will need devkitppc v17 and libogc v1.7.1 to compile Cfg.

Back to NCard, doesn't the NCard App also send the time played to the server? There's no way to get Cfg to do that as all Cfg could do is indicate when you start a game, not when you finish. Also, wouldn't having both the NCard App and Cfg updating the info then cause you to get out of sync because they would both send off information about the same games?

Hello Dr. Clipper.
I'm using the 57 final release, is everything fine until now
smile.gif

I have a suggestion, I don't know if this is possible, or if this is a interesting question for you developers but, Some people have a small SD card. I was thinking that and I think that was cool if when We will download covers, or themes, the Cfg can show the available space on SD card.

Now I have a 2Gb SD, but before I was running in a 128mb and some themes make the SD full...
Discard this if this option is enable and I cant see...is just for help some people...

Thanks for your attention one more time

Hi Dr. Clipper, is there any way to let CFG USB Loader to auto-recognize the file system type of my drive ? Since I use 2 drives, the small one is FAT32 and the bigger one is NTFS. I always use 222-mload version of CFG loader.

The "update" command just send a key, based on the user/pass and the game played.
http://www.messageboardchampion.com/2009/1...e-from-the-wii/

Also, I don't think that there will be an "out of sync" problem because the NCard is run manually, from HBC. If the loader do the updates needed, we can just don't use it anymore, and the result is the same.

You can solve this problem moving all the covers and everything else on the USB drive.

Yes, I know. But I don't have this problem anymore, now I have a lot of space in my SD and I like to save all homebrew things on SD, not in the HDD....But, I just make the suggestion for who don't have a huge SD, neather a HDD (using like a 2Gb pendrive for example)... Not for me...

Hi Dr. Clipper!

I finally was able to compile the CFG Loader with your help.

Now, I am debugging the changes I have done to integrate NCard API.

I have initialized the network, but my Wii locks (no error message, no black screen, no "timeout", etc) everytime it arrives the line:

"file = downloadfile(url);"

I have tried to declare url as:
char *url
and
char url[200];

and the result is the same.

Do you have any idea about what can be the issue?

RIUPAF and RCOPNP do not have English covers. Add:
Code:
cover_url_full += http://wiitdb.com/wiitdb/artwork/coverfull/FR/{ID6}.png
to get Cfg to try for French covers if an English one is not found. Use other language codes if you'd prefer something other than French.

RSJP41 doesn't have an NTSC full cover, but some do exist for PAL (although it's a totally different cover). Add this:
Code:
cover_url_full += http://wiitdb.com/wiitdb/artwork/coverfull/EN/{ID3}P{PUB}.png
to get Cfg to try for the English PAL version if the NTSC is not found.

Nobody has uploaded a full cover for R85EG9, RRVPNR and SG7E20.

It's possible, but would likely cause more problems than it would help. I suggest you have two installations of Cfg, each with a different config.txt and just launch the one that matches the drive you have plugged in. The second installation can be on the FAT32 drive itself.

QUOTE(Daileon @ Aug 10 2010, 07:49 PM)
The "update" command just send a key, based on the user/pass and the game played.
http://www.messageboardchampion.com/2009/1...e-from-the-wii/

Also, I don't think that there will be an "out of sync" problem because the NCard is run manually, from HBC. If the loader do the updates needed, we can just don't use it anymore, and the result is the same.

What about games you play on their discs, VC games and so on? Only the updater app will see those, so you would still need to run it occasionally.

Yes, you are right, occasionally it will need to be run, but if it is supported by the USB Loader, then it would be better, since will cover my, and I believe lots of users, major use of the Wii.

Well, I'm trying to give my contribution to the app, but unfortunately I can't find the reason behind the "lock" in the downloadfile function.
