And it probably will stay like that until the devs of Libntfs fixed this. So the problem is the Lib, not the loader or the cIOS.
That part isn't 100% true... Apparently the lib might be fine, but the implementation of said lib in GX was broken. oggzee hasn't had enough time (or enough motivation) to attempt to see whether it works in Cfg yet.

Could you please clarify the way the launch POP the forgotten sands with configurable USB LOADER :

For cthe moment configurable USB LOADER is launched with 222,
- do I need to launch game with 223 ?
- do I need to add a WIP file or is patched automatically by configurable USB LOADER

Regards

Olivier

Use the latest version (57b7-222) and set the Clear Patches option for the game to On or All. It will work with any IOS as long as you use the Clear Patches option. There is no need to use the .wip patch as there is an automated patch.

QUOTE(LocoRoco @ Jul 11 2010, 10:35 PM) is there any chance that emulation will be included in cfg like uloader for vc/wiiware
None at all.

Updated my 52v to 56v, but now it say something like cios 222/223 is needed or something. What I need to do that I can get that new 56 version to work? Any games won't work anymore. But when I use 52v games works fine from fat USB

sounds like u have been using cIOS249 rev 18 or higher to load games from FAT32.

When you updated, you probably downloaded the 222 version instead of the 249 version, and since u don't have 222 installed (I'm assuming), u can't even launch the app

2 solutions, I recommend u do both
1)download the latest cfg loader but make sure u grab the 249 version this time. Alternatively, u can use the configurator for configurable to mod your config.txt file to have the 222 version load 249. But its faster to just use the 249 version to begin with.
2)if you haven't done so already, install cIOS 202v5[57], 222v5, 223v4[37+38], 224v5[57], 249v19[57], 250v19[37] (these can all be grabbed in wad form by using NUSAD from my signature)

hey quick question, what is the maximum amount of cheats that can be included in a cheats txt that cfg will still be able to read? I would find manual editing easier than messin around with cheat manager apps.

No, what Malboro did was exactly what he said he did. Updated to v56. Previously, he was relying on the auto-switch from 249 to 222 when he tried to launch games from a FAT drive. When oggzee added FAT support to 249, he added the "222 needed" error to anyone trying to launch games from FAT with early revisions of 249 but forgot to reword the error text (this was fixed in 57b).

Malboro, if you update to 57b7, you will notice that the error text will change to tell you that rev18 or higher of IOS249 are needed or that you should be selecting IOS222 for your games. Those are your two options, namely:
1: Install IOS249 rev 19
2: Use the -222 version of the loader.

To get the latest version of the loader, links are included on this page.

The limits are 1000 lines and 256 cheats.

Thank you! Installed all cIOS and now it works. ^^. Now I can play Galaxy 2 ^^

Doc. any chance you or Oggzee could include this sort of info to the 1st post, or in the linked page.

Would save the repetitive questions, if stated up front, same for those 'unique' games.

Cheers.... Great job all.

I was thinking if it's not too much effort is to add a "Tips" section for each game on the loader.
You're browsing through the games and choose, say, "Wii Sports Resort" but it doesn't work. You press a button (the only unused buttons I can think of is the directional pad) and it gives instruction on how to get the game to work.

Someone would have to create a database that contain instructions for each problematic game.

At this point, it could be better to release a settings.cfg file (or something similar, at devs' discretion) with the options pre-written within.

Another idea could be a file hosted somewhere from where the CFG Loader can read the options for a specific game, but this would mean other code to implement.

But: are we sure that every solution we'll find would stop people from asking?

I like the idea of a preconfigured settings file... but that wont work for all games. It will work fine for PoP, or any alt-dol games (provided that the dol selected is the same each time). Games that will not work this way are games like WiiSports Resort (you can't have the settings load the player.dol every time, otherwise the game will never load!), House of the Dead 2&3 (you need to choose an alt-dol based on the game you want to play), and I'm sure there are other examples.

I think that for these problematic games, A note could be made right above the wiitb description of the game saying something like "this game may require extra steps to work properly, scroll down for more info", then beneath the wiitb description could be info on getting that specific game to work.

I think the best solution would be to be combine these 2 ideas. So for games like Medal of Honour 2, have the settings always load using the alt-dol, or for PoP have it load with proper settings, etc. And for other games that aren't so clearcut (like HOD2&3 or Wii Sports Resort), have more info on getting that specific game to work above/below the wiitb game description.

This may be a fair amount of work, so whether they implement it or not... props to the cfg loader team!

I formatted my entire 750 GB HD to FAT32 and put a game on it with Wii backup manager.
Then I plugged in MY HD at port 0 and started Configurable USB loader but it said
" [+]:
Partitions WBFS1 not found! Select a different partition of create a WBFS partition.
Then it says press A to select a different partition. I do press A and it brings me to a different screen where I have to press A again to get to my game."
Is that supposed to happen?
If not what should I do?

Do you have either V19 of IOS249, or V4 or better of IOS222 installed? You need these to support FAT32 with CFG Loader.

Hey guys. Been strolling thru the forums here and I can't quite find what I am looking for. I have CFG 57b7 on my NTSC Wii and it works great! Here are my only two problems thus far. I am tryig to run Tatsunoko s Capcom Ultimate All-Stars (STKE08) NTSC TRIMMED to 1.4GB. I hae the standard wanniko 249 and the herme's 222 and 233 installed, yet when I go to boot the game, I get "Loading ..." and the console freezes. All of the posts I have found say that this game worked right out of the box. I am certain the ISO is perfectly fine as I have tried 3 different sources.

My second problem is a little more obscure, but annoying none the less. I hae Tales of Graces running perfectly (with translation patch ^^). The only problem is when I hit the "HOME" button, the game immediately locks up and has the nice annoying buuuuuzzzzzzzzzzz sound to go with it. Any ideas? Thnx.

So i may assume it still isn't possible?
Will it ever be? or has the development stopped completely?
It should be possible, as far as I know, it should still be working as before, and nothing should have changed. I haven't tried it, but I didn't saw any note that said that it is disabled, or something like that.

1) The ISO-File still must be placed like the FAT32-Files.
QUOTE\wbfs\GAMEID.iso
\wbfs\Title [GAMEID].iso
\wbfs\Title [GAMEID]\GAMEID.iso
\wbfs\GAMEID_Title\GAMEID.iso
2) This should work with Hermes cIOS or with Waninkokos one (rev19). So you can either use the normal version with rev19, or the FAT-Version with r4 (or r5).
3) Installation means ripping discs from your Wii to the HD. The Library for NTFS is still buggy, and often corrupts the whole partition/game during writing something, that's why it's disabled. I can't speak for the CFG-Team, but the NTFS-Library isn't from them, so I don't know if they'll fix it. They'll probably wait until the library is stable enough, but that's just a guess.

Thank you a 1000 times for your input.
It works perfect on NTFS.

Fw4.1E
IOS202[57]v5
IOS249rev19, base 38 or 57, both work.
IOS222v4 or v5, both work.
IOS223v4
I use CFG Loader v57b7-222

so far it works with all games i have, including MH3 (with IOS223v4) & Prince of Persia.
And i play movies and music with WiiMCv1.04

I wrote a small tutorial for it on a dutch forum, where i'm a moderator.
