The return to channel patch isn't working for me... Its purpose is to return to Wiiflow after you exit a game by pressing Home and Wii Menu, correct?

I added returnto= to wiiflow.ini under [GENERAL]. WFXF is the channel ID for Narolez's forwarder and I put that in for my channel ID. How can I get this working?

This is how I have my cIOSes set up and I haven't found anything I can't play on a FAT32 HDD.

Slot 202: v5.1 ios60
Slot 222: v5.1 ios38
Slot 223: v5.1 ios37
Slot 224: v5.1 iso57
Slot 248: r19 ios38
Slot 249: r19 ios57
Slot 250: r19 ios37

I use the 249 version of wiiflow and everything loads from 249, other than Music games - load w/ 250 and a couple of custom homebrew isos that load with 222.

This works great, if you have started r43 it adds a line to your wiiflow.ini by itself and it says "returnto="

Simply add teh 4 letter id into it without the brackets, my ID is FLOW so my wiiflow.ini looks like this

returnto=FLOW

thats it, works great

I've done that already. I manualy added returnto=WFXF to my wiiflow.ini and for some strange reason it isn't working for me. It just takes me back to the Wii Menu when I exit a game... I know for sure that I have the correct channel ID for my forwarder and I'm using r43.

If you added it to the top just under [GENERAL] it will get auto-deleted for some reason... it has its own place, i tried adding it just under general at first too and it got deleted and didnt work, but now i found where it added itself to the wiiflow.ini and it works a treat, just has to be input correctly

It seems that there is no such "person B" for R25.

there is no such nice options too, in R25
and there is no such fat support
and there is no such ntsc support
and there is no such...

I eventually turn back to R25, even with so many "no such..."s.

I prefer stability, and then compatibility.

Which is not true, but you didn't hear those people. I did. However, like I said before, I'm gonna enable that line of code again in r44. A lot has changed since I disabled that, so it's possible that it works (again) for everybody.

So where does Wiiflow list it in the .ini? I listed it alphabetically under [GENERAL] when i added it to my wiiflow.ini.

I believe the r43 v222 change ios in game settings is the only bug with the release of r43.R-win is working on it so until then i would just use the r43 v249 instead since it does not have this bug and lets you change the ios to whatever you want for individual games.
Allright, I've found the problem, and it's fixed. It will be committed with r44.

Good to hear.

I'm very happy to see that you brought life back to wiiflow.
I thought it was on it's death bed for awhile.

I'm keen to get the return to channel working, but I am struggling to find the forwarder channels. The ones I had seem to be too old, and are rebooting the wii instead of launching wiiFlow.

Can anyone point me towards a good working forwarder, plus the channel ID for it?

Please.

Or advice on the best place to have wiiflow booting from to enable the forwarders. I vaguely remember the location of the boot.dol changing so it could just be where I have the boot.dol located.

There seems to be some trouble with the return to patch right now. It will be fixed in r44. Also, r44 will have a configuration setting where you can pick the channel to return to in the settings page.

Thank you for the quick response.

I will continue using Spayrosam's original forwarder, with WFOW as the channel ID until r44 comes out.

I thought it was just me being slightly stupid, which is not unusual. At least it prompted me to add a forwarder channel once more, following my move to a Black Wii I had never gotten around to it.

As usual thank you for your continued support.

Although the themers may not agree I like the idea of making the ini changes within the settings pages. I feel part of the WiiFlow ethos is simplicity of use, and editing ini files just seems wrong. However, I'm more than happy to continue adjusting ini files manually if that is required to keep the original WiiFlow clean.

I also have no problems with having options in there that I would not want to use, as long as they are not forced upon us.

P.S I'm really loving the updates/bugfixes and additions being made so far. Especially the bug fixes following FAT NTFS support.

Does this mean that you can run games from cIOS224 too?

Thanks for all the hard work and dedication to this project.

is there a recent version that handles rockband dlc correctly? other than the unofficial one from r25. if not, is there a way to include the PoP patch to the one that worked?

Nothing. At least I didn't had to do anything, my games worked straight away (with exactly the same naming). But, don't forget the Space: NAME OF GAME [GAME ID].wbfs

@r-win

Is it possible to fix something related to the wiiflow.ini? I think you should find a way to let WiiFlow automatically create this file for first use. Right now, I have to agree that it could be a pain for a new user to get this file. If you don't have this file on your SD or USB device, you won't be able to configure WiiFlow and every change you make will not be saved. There are a few methods to create one, but they are not so easy to do if you don't know how.

If you can't do that you should at least put wiiflow.ini on the Google Code page.

Thank you.
