Hacking Monster Hunter Tri - Converting Savegame Pal>NTSC - How?

Hi Guys,

I think the title says it really. I have read of people having success changing their save games

But none so far with monster hunter. From what i read, if i convert it normally, i will be banned online. But the thing is, whilst i dont mind getting a pal version of MH , if i can save myself a lot of time by converting my current NTSC save, id prefer to do that. This is mainly because i get a lot of disconnection problems (probably due to being in UK and it connecting me to usa server).

Does anyone have any advice?

Maybe this works, but from what ive read, it just results in capcom banning your account. So i would still like to have some advice if anyone can give me some please, or even confirm this method works.

I have yet to be banned using that method and I have played online quite a few times. I don't really see why it should result in a ban if you have a legit copy of the game.

Thanks for the quick reply.

The reason i read wasnt for the game version being legit, but for using a modified savegame file. I guess as capcom may consider it a cheat in some way.

So you modified yours from ntsc-> pal using this method? If so then im gonna give it a bash today as its been driving me crazy with disconnections all last night.

Yep, myself and a friend did it. Had no problems with it. Not saying there is no risk at all, but its most likely minimal.

Probably far more likely to get banned from using a European IP on the US servers.

Thanks Matt. I will go out and grab a pal v today. Ive read of cheats to "unban" if it ever occurs, so i guess will worry if it does. This is the only way ive read so far, and im grateful for the help. Looking forward to a lazy afternoon of hunting

Online has been great even on ntsc version, but right now its just infuriating when the monster youve spent blood sweat and tears on with three others limps off, and when youre about to swing the final blow the disconnection screen pops up! :'(
