Using a disc method. I downloaded the CIOS rev 19 and I just installed Darkcorp. I have the same problem every single time. In the disc channel, GECKO OS, Neogamma..
I get the safety warning screen, then I get the Checking Wii System Memory screen. Then black. I have to shut off my Wii. Same result no matter what I try.

Use Softchip.
with these settings:
Game's Language: English
Patch Country Strings: Disabled
Autoboot: Disabled
Silent: Disabled
Logging: Disabled
Remove 002 Protection: Enabled
Fake IOS Version: Disabled:
Load Requested IOS: Enabled

Tried both... and also with the configurable usb loader to see if the problem was with GX.
222 gets the game to the beeping black screen when starting, 223 gets stuck before the health warning.
No idea what else to do....

PAL user here softmod 4.1
- usb loader gx
- force NTSC
- use cios 223
load game but when choose new game all freeze with weird sound in background ?
(as demo disc if i remeber well... )
Any idea from/for PAL user ?

5. The game should work properly. If the game is working then you should stop reading this. If the game is not working and the video freeze. Proceed to Step 6. Your IOS55 might have some problem.
Disclaimer: I take no responsibility if your Wii is bricked or what so ever when you install cIOS55BugFix. But it should install fine. Proceed if you dare!
6. Now what you need is a wad manager, download the latest version of wad manager and copy and paste it like how you did it for Softchip.
7. Google for cIOS55BugFix WAD. Download it and place it at SD:\wad folder.
8. Now go to Homebrew Channel and open up Wad Manager, follow the on screen instruction to install cIOS55BugFix.wad (if you don’t know how, google for instruction)
9. After installing it, go back to Softchip R99 and use the above settings to start the game. It should be working properly.
I used Hermes 223 v4 with 38 & 37 merged and then used USB Loader GX version929
so that's setup as this which is working fine on my HDTV composite lead setup

2. vidtv patch on
3. 002 fix to yes
4. ios 223

PAL 4.1E softmodded
USB loader GX
IOS set to 222 - same as I would use to play SSBB on my usb loader gx
And the game works fine, no glitches no nothing.
How it helps for you. Ive never play my games through disc so cant help you if you prefer this method.
