Okay I set Tiger Woods's 'Alt dol [1]' to < Off > and it works now, but Wii Sports Resort comes up with a black screen. The only choices I get for Wii Sports Resort in 'Alt dol [1]' are Off, SD, Disk, and player.dol.

Unfortunately not forcing NTSC did not work. Also, I'm using an old television which I doubt is 480p.

In my opinion,

cfg USBloader is world best loader.

What is your next plans? Nand emulation? Supporting multi game dvd made by wii scrubber ?

I agree....

I am from Spain..and it´s really incredible how in Spanish forums people only talk about usb loader GX or Neogamma when it´s so easy to use this loader....

Hi all

Just a quick question. how can i run the loader with it locked down for the kids or in unlocked mode for me without having to keep pressing 1 to unlock

You would need to have 2 instances of the loader on your SD - one with simple=1 in config.txt and the other without. Or use 2 SD cards (one for you and 1 for the kids) or have the locked one on USB and yours on SD. So would you rather swap SD cards each time or just press 1?

They images are different from the games banners, I'm sure someone asked this before and was told no by the team.
If they did decide to go with the idea then you would need to have a save from the game on nand to use the same code, so it would only show images for games that you had the save installed to nand for.

And we can see savegame pictures from game iso files.

You are right the save picture would obviously be in the game iso, but (and I don't know for sure) would they always be in the same location on the iso because if not then it could get complicated for some games.

If they are always in the same location it would be much easier, but if the code had to search for them and do checks it could cause a lot of bugs.

I'd love to see game banners for games and covers but up to this point afaik no one has managed to display the game banners properly without using the system menu.

We could speculate and talk about this more but we've heard from oggzee now so we know he's not doing it any time soon.

If anyone was able to figure this out themselves and make a small poc I'm sure most loader devs would take a look, but expecting them to do this themselves is adding more work to them that is only considered a cherry on the cake.

You mean County String patching? You only need that if a game does not work at all. And i think it's only relevant for crossing from NTSC-J or KOR to PAL or NTSC-U.

You could do as usptactical suggested earlier, or you could map the unlock action to a button. It allows you to have the unlock password screen to come up after a single button push instead of having to hold it. An example is:

And then you can use the - button immediately followed by your password to unlock.

Actually, the files are in a known location and pretty easy to access. I discovered them while researching where to get the banner title from so that I could correctly name the games in the play log. It also seems like it would be quite easy to grab the little animated icons for the saves as well (the animation is only 8 frames and has a fixed pattern, unlike the menu banners that have multiple formats). Are these really that interesting, though?

When I get a bit of time, maybe I'll see if I can extract both the static save image and the animated icon and display them on the confirm start screen...

I really have no clue what that patch does, but I was helping someone once with trouble shooting of getting a PAL game working on an NTSC console, and turning the country patch on was the thing which made it work.

I've downloaded the 55b3 version of CFG Loader, but I don't like the bootscreen.

I would like to make a new one. I remember oggzee looking for someone who creates a new bootscreen or I do remember wrong?
However, if I would like to create a bootscreen, how should it be? Eg. unique size, different sizes for 4:3 and 16:9 etc...

I want cfg team implement that function.

I think there are several advantages.
For examples, we don't need to download cover images and we can see animated images on USBloader. and so on...

640*480. It will be stretched in widescreen.

sounds promising, yet i have no real interest with the banners to be honest but maybe other members do, CFG is perfect the way it is and adding such a feature may slow down the overall speed of the app maybe when flicking between screens/views, but who knows
