Personally I'd award this one the greedy shovel award.

Why not emulate? Ok, we get it for free, but nevertheless ....

Badly put together compilation, it just exists because the owners of the games need the money badly. No care whatsoever has been put into this and not worth anyones time if you have something that can emulate the originals. Its like those arcade compilations you can find in the 99p stores, cheap.

So its shovelware then in its actual form.

Most of the games are really bad, not that they've aged badly just that they were never any good in the first place. There are some decent enough games though but you might be better off just seeing if they work via emulation.

They obviuosly don't release these kind of games for the emulation users

Oh, I thought that Crude Buster reminded me an awful lot of 2 Crude Dudes, but it seems that after watching the trailer, that it's the same game. It was pretty funny though.

But where the hell is the Genesis Turrican game?

Turrican isn't a Data East game.

Are you talking, perhaps, about Chelnov/Atomic Runner?

If so, they are owned by Paon, not G-Mode, and can't be on this disc for licensing reasons.

Yeah, I'll stick with sdl mame! All 15 games are probably about 100mb ish as a guess. It would be interesting to know what size wbfs manager scrubs this down to.

Express Raider & Bad dudes are the bollocks though!

This game SUCKS!!!! And my God, the menu screens! It's God awful and the game doesn't show ANY respect for the legacy of Data East games (evenhough they weren't killer games to begin with)

And as for Caveman Ninja, I'd rather play the SNES version through the Wii-emulator because at least there's a soft screenfilter on it which makes it looks much better than this shitty screen

Haven't played this yet, but i have it "ready" to go... Isn't there some kind of "75 Goals" aka achievements kinda thing? Or is that just BS talk for "we did shitty things to these games to make you think you want to replay this over and over, but really you'll start it up, then pull the disk out and snap it in twain, cause we sucks." I was 100% certain I'd hear Data East every time I started up the game. Seems that they published Mega Turrican in the US, the Turrican game I'm most familiar with.
