Hello i was wondering if there is a alternative internet browser for wii or any hack/mod that can be done to the damn opera... i know its almost impossible but hackers should put their eyes on it and make a better opera... my 2 pcs got fucked... so now using this browser and only have flash lite 3.0 basicly flash player 7 and it sucks... bad performance...

any information is useful...

How do you manage to crash 2 PCs?

There was an in-depth examination of the opera browser a while back. Beyond small things like changing the start page, not much could be done. Linux runs on the wii, but AFAIK, no one has bothered to get firefox running because of the memory and speed issues.

devs have made some much things like files browser, games, emulator...ect but the big missing thing is the web browser !! i

is there realy no solution to port firefox or else or a opera mod...
tabs, flash player,...ect too much things missing on the official web browser ):

Why not ! i have my wii on my room and my computer is downstairs ! and you now a ipod have a exelent web browser so why not the wii !

Seriously ! lot of people (me too) have only a wii, and thanks of hackers the wii can be use for lot of things ! the only prob now is the web browser !

i can't believe that there still not one finish... even a mod of the opera chanel could be done ? (still, i don't know a thing about programing so i realy can't tell the level of the chalenge...)

The answer is here already. Install linux on the wii and use FF, or do what most everyone else did on this forum: buy a PC. I built a high-end quadcore + 3GB RAM for $560.

There is NO mod of Opera, and there is a 99.99% chance there never will be beyond what was seen in a post some time ago.

If Adobe & Nintendo work something out for a newer flash player, then we'll see a newer Internet Channel.
