mmm... this game plays a lot like that Patlabor game for Snes, a mix of tactis and realtime battles, but this game its faster. It's nice, I liked Patlabor system.

Hmmm... But why did they name it "Battle Assault" when the title's "Tomo to Kimi to Senjou de"? It should be "Mechanical Warrior Gundam Seed: Friends, You and the Battlefield". Well anyway, this game's an AVG and follows the Anime. There's 2 modes you can play.

Adventure Mode -
Which you interact with the characters like you would in any AVG. It features all 50 episodes from the Anime.

Battle Mode -
Super Robot Wars.

Apart from that, the game also features "If" stories which is again, like the ones in the DBZ beat-em-up that was released earlier. What would have happened if he never died and this happened?

There's also supposed to be a yet to be seen original Gundam Seed MS.

Haven't heard anything about an English release but maybe someone might make a translation patch for this.

As for Full Metal Alchemist, I remember reading on the Square-Enix USA site that they're releasing an English version of the PS2 game so, there might be a chance that Bandai will do the same with their GBA game.

- Edit -

I think someone's got this game confused with the other Gundam Seed GBA game that's going to get released... The USA beat-em-up game that gets released in September. That explains the wrong title... The title needs correcting.

First few minutes of play. The 2 "modes" are actually put together so you can't pick either or. Fighting's not bad. It's more interactive that the SRW series. Then we have the "if" stories which is really refering to how the game's multi-branched and progresses depending on what decisions you make. Now where are those manuals...

Any one remember the GUNDAM F91 game?
IT is exactly like this one
You mean this one for the SNES? Haven't played it but it doesn't look the same to me.
Well, it seems your link is missing the part of the game were you actually fight your enemies and if what you've said about this Gundam Seed game is true, then the are pretty simular with the whole 'real time fighting' part.
Anyways, I'm gonna go see if I can find a download for this game.

Must have been a really popular game if they decided to use the same fighting system again. It's pretty good since you get to move around in real-time instead of turn-based.

The site I linked to says it's a simulation though, and not an AVG like this one is. I'm sure Gundam Seed fans would love to re-live the Anime and see those "if" game outcomes. Odd that I can't find this game listed on GameFAQs though and I'm sure it's not "Battle Assault". Someone should correct the title to either its Japanese name, "Kidou Senshi Gundam Seed: Tomo to Kimi to Senjou de" or its translation. Eurasia must have used GameFAQs as a reference when they dumped this like they done with Konjiki no Gashbell. GameFAQs didn't correct the title from "Kiniro no Gashbell" until I submitted my FAQ for it. Same with GetBackers.

I read your GetBackers FAQs, it's great.
Will you write some FAQs on Gundam games or another jap relises?

I might. There's no title to submit this one to at GameFAQs, though. The problem with writing guides for AVGs is they're multi-branched and they've got a lot more dialogue to translate than RPGs...
