Hacking Anyone using "Western Digital My Book Essential 2.0 1000GB"

This is just a quick check if it works.

My Western Digital Desktop Elements' PSU somehow died. So I'm looking for a new HDD...

I already checked the Wii USB Devices Compatibility List. It's somehow confusing tho...

Sooooo is anyone running the HDD mentioned in the topic successfully with any usbloader (preferably USBloader GX)

I've got that harddrive, but with 500GB, it's running flawlessy on my Wii!

( I also got that "Western Digital Desktop Elements" drive 1TB for my laptop, which also runs perfectly

I have five of them, all working perfectly. 1 x 400 GB partition for WBFS (holds about 180 games)*, 1 x 531 GB partition in NTFS for everything else.

*Game size estimate is based on the average of the games that I own (2.2GB/game).

im useing it and its awesome works like a dream i have my wbfs at 500 gb and a fat at 200 and a ntfs at 250 and its worked like a champ

I've got one too. Works just fine. I have the entire tb formatted to wbfs. wbfs only supports up to 500 files so even with it full of games you'll end up with an extra 80 gigs give or take.

I have a WD Passport 500 gb that works perfectly with GX Loader. My friend is using a WD Passport 320gb one which also works perfectly.

I prefer the Passport because it needs no power adapter and only a USB cable.
