no$gba is most famous for its NDS emulation, of course, but it was a GBA emulator first -- and while it's not as easy to use as VBA, it has one major feature worth getting it for: You can emulate multiple GBAs at once and use this to play multiplayer games splitscreen. Shining Soul 2 is lots of fun like this, say.

Anyway, I thought I'd mention it. It seems odd that it was left out... I'd have asked in that topic, but it's locked for some reason. (Which seems like a bad idea. New GBA emulators do still come out, you know? And it's worth discussing the merits of each.)

I just about had no$gba working. I t just could not detect the games that i had put in the main folder for it at all. Can anyone help and give ideas on how to fix this?

What's with all the necroposting on this thread? Please let it die and quit bringing it up. Whether it is on the sticky or not it doesn't matter. Bringing up an almost year old thread to the front page is annoying and can lead to pushing more important threads onto other pages. Please just don't necropost this thread anymore.

@Xdqwerty, Don't use games that have Easy Anti-Cheat as its been exploited many times.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

@SylverReZ, i think they have been doing that since late 2000s

Either that or their old games were unfinished aswell but we can't notice it

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol

I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare
