I am on 3.2U and have starfall.
it is on the compatible list and this is happening without the flash drive being in the Wii. I should have been more clear earlier [I only told you all that to show it couldnt be the flashdrive]... anyways... this is what i did. I tried launching WiiShizza's USB loader v6.7 [without anything in the usb slot], and wii-mote disconnects and wont reconnect. I then hit the reset button on wii and tried launching WiiShizza's USB loader v6.7 again through HBC [again without anything in USB slot], but this time I insert the flash drive despite the wii-mote disconnecting... still no go... wii-mote wont sync. I tried again thinking maybe the flashdrive needed to be inserted before WiiShizza's USB loader v6.7 launches, so this time with the flash drive in the wii, launch it... same problem.
This is an issue with the wiimote not staying connected once the program launches, not with the flash drive since its not even in the wii and still having the wii-mote disconnecting... Its once I launch the loader, wii-motes disconnects so I dont think the flashdrive is causing this issue... cant be the flashddrive since its not even in the Wii... hope this clears up my vague initial description. anyone have any ideas? has there been any known bugs causing this sort of issue with any homebrew apps? I only have this issue with WiiShizza's USB loader v6.6 and .7 [only usb loader ive tried so far]. Could my Wii be missing an IOS or something? My backup launchers work and so do all my homebrew. If I figure this out, Ill update the post.
I never said you are a noob. Actually I am a noob myself, so I don't know why, it just happened. When I try to use my flash drive, whatever button I push, the wiimote just flash a few times and refuse to connect to the wii. When I plug in my HDD (I forgot whether I re-start my loader), everything just back to normal.dewisp02 said:wqu said:I think, for the loader, there is no difference between no usb drive and a non-supported drive. so you're telling me your wii-mote disconnects and wont reconnect once you load WiiShizza's USB loader?!?! Or that the wii-mote disconnects from the wii until it recognizes the usb device [this case flash drive]??? That makes no sense... once the loader starts the wii-mote should be connected.
The countdown timer counts down... if I let it reach zero it comes up with error and tells me to reset the wii which is expected [and what you are saying supposedly is causing my issue] ... But The timer stops when i plug in my flashdrive so it has to be recognizing it... I just cant load the game [or anything else] cuz my wii-mote wont sync. The wii-mote should be and has to be connected to be able to choose options. I understand what you are saying, but the timer would not stop if it was not recognizing the flash drive. So far people are overlooking details, just writing this issue off as me being a typical noob which I am not.

Now simple option allow only 0, 1 or 2 (0 is normal, 1 is remove install and uninstall option, 2 is remove uninstall option)
Also, if you set simple = 1, the hdd information would be hidden
savesettings is set to default by 0 now (instead of 1)
functionality of button 1 and 2 is removed. I might add this back as a config option in future release (depends on the feedback)
language, video and ocarina option is removed from the game selection screen (they are in the setting screen now)
Added hidesettingmenu option:
#
# hidesettingmenu = [0] 1
# 0 => allow access to the setting menu by pressing B
# 1 => hide the setting menu
hidesettingmenu = 0
#
changes in v7 beta 1:
Added setting screen (by pressing B)
Added two config options:
#
# parentalcontrol = [0] 1 2
# 0 => turn off parental control
# 1 => only allow games with 0 to show up (in titles.txt)
# 2 => only allow games with 0 or 1 to show up (in titles.txt)
# 3 => only allow games with 0 or 1 or 2 to show up (in titles.txt)
parentalcontrol = 0
#
# downloadinstall = [0] 1
# 0 => download cover art automatically when you install game
# 1 => don't download cover art when you install game
downloadinstall = 0
#
in titles.txt, you can set access level by something like this:
RMCE = Mario Kart = 1

I just upgraded to the new beta. So now, we no longer control video mode, language or Ocarina settings from the starting menu, but instead, we have to press B to set these settings individually right?
Yes and then the settings get saved to a .cfg file on your sd so the next time you want to play that game you just hit [A] and it will auto boot with your saved settings

QUOTE(Bladexdsl @ Apr 15 2009, 01:20 AM) how about removing the background where the game list shows and just have the game text it's not transparencies but it will be close enough?

How about the idea of recently played games list ?

Is this for compatibility with no sd card or something? Because I thought the whole idea of the settings menu with auto save was so you would only need to go in it once for each game that needed changes from your default set up. But by default you'd need to go into it every time for a cretin game that didn't work with your default setup. Just curious that's all.
testing v7beta2 now...

Some people are having code dump issue when having auto-save feature, so I turn it off by default.
You can still set it to 1 to enable auto save, or you can go to setting menu to save it manually.
Btw, there is one minor bug that I found. If you boot game from setting menu, the auto-save would not work (i will fix it in V7 final)
kyogc said:Can any smart coders here please do me a favor? All the functions your guys have built is really amazing, however, it seems way too complicatd for me. So, could someone kindly build a loader based on Waninkoko's 1.4 with Ocarina or maybe plus Force NTSC, just has the same functions as V2 or V3? Or at lease tell me how to do it? Which files I should add codes and what codes? Thanks.
Are you having some problem that is not with V2 or V3?

Ahh I see that makes sense, on thing, could you put the cover download back into the settings menu? That way you could always have it enabled even if your not connected to the internet, and when you are you can choose to download. The auto download is nice but you have to edit the config every time you want to shut it off. Like if I bring my wii to a friends who doesn't have internet, I'd have to remember to edit the config file before or else it would code dump on any new game installed that I didn't have the art for. With the option in the menu I choose if and when to download so I could install and play a new game no problem. Otherwise I think its damn near perfect!!! Thanks again, this loader would not be where it is without you!
