Take the loader, put the disc ID as "FIXXME" and rename it to template.dol
Is there a standard location for the disc ID? I opened the loader with a hex editor, but I have no idea where to look for the ID.
Are you sure its FIXME. Because I had a look at the template.dol and the disc id is RMCP01

How do you make the created .wad from the .bnr point to a specific boot.dol? I am trying to get my .wad of SSBB to point to a boot.dol I have in a folder called RSBE01 in my apps?

1. To find where the discID is, use the Find tool....
2. its FIXXME, and you must have changed the template.dol, as I just downloaded BNRBandit1.1 on another computer and checked the template.dol and template_ocarina.dol and they BOTH have the disc/titleid as FIXXME. Maybe youre looking at template.wad?

i had BNRBandit1.0. For my own peace of mind i re downloaded it using the link in the first post, and had a look at template.dol in a hex editor, and its definately RMCP01 not FIXME. But I also downloaded the universal channel creation pack which contains BNRBandit 1.0 and 1.1 and they both have FIXME in template.dol. Weird.

I'm just curious how doltitlepatcher works. Does it search for FIXME then replace it with the new disc id, or does it know the position of where to insert the disc id.

BNRBandit 1.0 doesn't search, it uses an offset to determine where to put the disc ID.
BNRBandit 1.1 uses a search, which allows you to switch template.dol out.

It is FIXXME in your templates, but I have no idea how to apply that to other dols. With your template I can easily find the discID:
template.dol.png

but with the child proof loader (based on LoPsT's loader, and the only loader that works with my hard drive) a discID is nowhere to be found:
childproof.dol.png

To see the dol yourself (if for any reason anyone is interested) here is the link:
http://rapidshare.com/files/217811325/usb_..._childproof.rar

A new version of that loader is out so I'm going to open it up in a few minutes and maybe the discID will be more apparent, but so far I can't find anything.

EDIT: No luck with the new version either.

personally it works beautifully, ive created 20 odd channels so far...

out of wonder does the channel get the games region from the disc as well or does it auto force NTSC because all my games are PAL?

The channel region is ALWAYS the region of the template.wad.
The one included is NTSC.

If you have anything that allows you region free channels, then you don't even have to worry about that.

The loader uses the default video mode for each game.
I don't have any kind of way to test how this works on a PAL wii with a PAL games on a PAL tv.

Well i should probably grab myself a PAL Channel just to be on the safe side, any idea where i can find one?

Though so far i haven't actually had a problem so i guess i can have region free channels as all 20 odd installed and boot their respective games and well my PAL TV supports NTSC anyway.

To be honest most of the Wii modding scene confuses me completely and interms of modding all i have ever done is in this order:

whilst on firmware 3.2 installed HBC, then Beta loader plus C7, then installed Gamma when it came out, then installed C9 plus USB Loader and updated 4.0, then installed all these channels...lol

force ntsc WITH ocarina template.dol
Force PAL with ocarina template.dol
Just plain Force Pal template.dol

who knows when and if he can get to it but if anyone can do this its raptor then when i have those 3 dols i am going to post a pack for all channel creations with seperate builds of bmnrbandit for each task

If you are only replacing the template.dol, theres no need to re-release my app. Just name them appropiately, and zip the template.dol's up

no need? no disrespect but this is far from a complete deal in that its not very compatable with NTSC consoles using PAL games (which btw raptors template does fix fyi) or how about using PAL GAMES WITH ocarina support ON a ntsc console....I appreciate the app but its just that at this point its only Half useful ya know...or incomplete would be a better word to use...

afaik the release ONLY had 2 template dol files...one for original (that just makes pal games on ntsc vhold fucked up in black and white...

then the ocarina template in the BNRpack that adds ocarina BUT NOT FOR PAL GAMES BECAUSE THEY LOAD IN BLACK AND WHITE! what about PAL only titles like Rogue trooper?

there IS NEED FOR IT

rename to what????

if not where do i get the force NTSC on PAL games.. template.dol and wad.(thank god raptor1010 was able to create it) or i would still be getting PMs about the Mario Kart Texture hack in PAL only on ntsc consoles ...so you see the need for it does exist bro for sure...

where do i get force PAL with ocarina support

where do i get force NTSC with ocarina support

or even just force pal....so people on PAL consoles can load games like Tutsonoco vs capcom????

Hey, has this been dropped on account of the usbloader with box art? Wondering if Bnrbandit 2.0 was ever finished.

The USBLoader gui with box art is cool and all but i would also like to make a few channels. This seemed like a good app except doltitlepatcher kept spewing errors on windows 7.
