science: don't debate your score. you are mag staff for a reason, i trust your views and everyone else should as well. the beauty of the edit button is that you can always go back and fix stuff you didn't like. i never saw a rule that said you can't tweak out your articles until they are how you want them, after posting!
as for ds doom you need the prboom.wad, dsdoom.nds, and doom.wad in the root of the msd. i've had luck with dsdoom.nds being in a sub folder and the rest in root, but for testing i would put them all in root as required in the readme. i don't recall what the shareware wad is named but you might have to rename it to doom.wad. dsdoom will not load a wad of another name. some say the config file is required, but it isn't. doom 1.2 will run just fine without it. if you change an option in the prboom options screen then one will be created.
if you need *help* just PM me and i'll set you up.

I think GBAtemp should go back to the numbers, because that gave you a better idea of how good the card is. If this is silver, people might think its as good as other cards, like the DSTT.
he could easily just say "it got a silver because it does what it says it will, but it should be considered to be one step above a bronze" or something along those lines. no need to go back to the number system when one sentence will carry the explanation.
a quick read of his well written conclusion wraps up his thought process for both the kit and his choice of awards.
to me it looks like the r4. it does what it says it will do on the box and appears to do it well. while the gui might not be top end, that does not hurt the compatibility of the kit. what would make it a bronze to sliver for me is how often the team updates the loader and fixes issues with old/new games. if that is kept up than this easily should get a silver. if it doesn't than its just another dead in the water kit gone the way of the r4.
people need to remember to read the review. just because a kit get a silver doesn't mean run out and buy it. it means it did what it should do but didn't have enough extras to push it to the "WOW" factor of a gold award.
