Gaming [Wii Virtual Console] DAT for Offline List

Hello

I decided to rebuild a new DAT file for Offline List for Virtual Console games, using Maikel Steneker's DAT as a base

I also re-used some images he managed to format in OLL format.

Other credits in XML source. Hope I've not forgot anyone

!

My source for releases is LUDiBRiA. Maybe not the most complete but enough to be used

There are some CRC missing, input as 999999XX in the XML file, so if you have some of them, feel free to tell me, but be sure to not use CRC from "hacked WAD" like those done with "FreeTheWad" soft because they are not original CRC

In fact, I follow my path, adding games

as I disagree (a very little bit

) with some games' name and screenshots policy

but I'm not as fast as Psykos so...
And don't worry for CRC, I have them already, at least 90%

I've sent Psykos77 a list of 50+ CRCs and about a dozen changes to the DAT to be made.

Plus about 8 or 9 corrections for the WiiWare dat where we have incorrect or patched RegionFree WADs etc.

Hopefully these will filter through shortly but expect to need to go looking for the correct Roms now...

Should not be long before we have an accurate and up to date set of DATS. IMHO the WiiVC dat should not be called Virtual Console Collection by Psykos but WiiVC Collection by Psykos ... but that's me!

how do you find the crc of a file?

I zip the file and then look in the zipfile. By every file inside the zipfile the crc is given

On the more serious side:

What's the point of people making dat's and then not keeping then up to date.
If you make it for your own, then that's fine, but don't release it to the public.
Why does someone make one for the public and then not keeping it up to date?
If your busy, thats's fine by me, but don't make a dat all together....
Isn't it a good idea to make a list in a wiki-kind of way? Enter the data in a public site and generate
a dat on the fly?
I will be happy to help set up such a site. All I need is some sort of design of the site.
