If it was just within the past 2 weeks then you _shouldn't_ have gotten a fake clip. It is fairly easy to tell if you have a fake clip. The lettering was a lot different for the contacts, the board was more greenish than orange. It looked very close to this fake one. Follow the guide from my previous post on how to check for a fake clip. If it proves to be real then try resoldering the points and making sure it's getting a good fit. If it still doesn't work then try connecting point F to with a wire -- some Wiis need the wire in order to get the timing working for some reason. (Depending on your feelings about soldering to the board you might want to just connect the point first to avoid accidentally messing up pins on the clip.)

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the F point was timing for injecting the code? If someone knows if this is right or not please let us know. I know on the WiiClip site it says that if backups won't run then it's possibly because the F point needs to be connected with the wire so it doesn't sound like it is an eject/inching issue to me.
Rosin or flux core solder with the smallest diameter possible is the ideal solder to use. I use 60/40 .032 solder (RadioShack 64-009 E -- yes RS... but it was cheap compared to competitors believe it or not). You can use pretty much any solder though as long as you can get a clean (shiny not dull) joint with it. The iron is probably fine enough to connect the one wire.

Its ok, mine got either lost or stolen in the mail. I sent it in to get updated probably 3 weeks ago and it never arrived to ModChipCentral $80 some odd bucks down the drain.

I don't know why everyone always makes a big fuss over ModChipCentral. They are probably the best sellers around. It was all my fault that my modchip got lost in the mail but don't blame him because your modchip doesn't work he will be more than glad to update as he was going to do to mine but as I stated it either got lost or stolen in the mail. Or maybe even confiscated at Customs, I don't know.
If it is a D2B console, you do not need to worry about updating the firmware. I respond to your e-mails every day. I even offered you an exchange in the last e-mail sent

lol wii-clips what a waste of time, i got in 5 of these to test out was only 7usd so why not, 3 came back and 1 "didnt work" appearantly

I totally agree with you they are a rip off of course those assholes are going to say that because they work for them I got ripped off on five PCB Sputnik boards that I purchased from them they told me that I couldn't use the boards because I have to probe the drive on Xbox 360 slim with the Sputnik probe upon me asking them to issue me a refund is been 2 1/2 weeks I haven't got my refund they keep saying 6 to 8 business days every time I email them and some guy that works for the company that handles that email and department is very disrespectful on the bottom of this message you can read what this gentleman said to me he basically took my money and said to me go fuck yourself I'm not giving it back to you and believe it or not is bent over the time That he said that the money was supposed to go back to my card for any debit or credit card refund takes 3 to 5 business days all caught all major cards such as visa American Express and MasterCard
