Gaming Help with MKWii Mushroom Gorge shortcut

I can't do it!
Okay, I can, did it 3 times over a gaming session of 8 hours.
That's with the GC controller, Magikruiser, jumping from second mushroom, not doing it more than once, etc. since I'm doing it to beat the expert ghost.
Can someone help me with performing this trick under different circumstances? Wiimote+Nunchuk, different bike, 1st mushroom, more than once.

Well it WOULD help us to tell us what mushroom you're talking about. I mean, there's like, 30 of them...including the ones in the background scenery.

You obviously don't know a clue about the shortcut.

It's the first one on the left way off the road.

Don't cheat.

Race Fair and other will like you

So instead of working 8 hours trying to cheat, instead how about you use those 8 hours practising to beat the Expert Staff ghost.

They are not hard

Taking a shortcut is not cheating. The level designers put that mushroom there to be used. It takes practice and skill to get to it, so if you can do it, it's fair game. It's not like the shortcuts you could take in Mario Kart 64... like hoping over the walls on Wario's level, through the walls in the DK Jungle level, or jumping off the track on Rainbow Road. Those were kind of cheating, especially the Wario one.

1. When you start, there is a green mushroom and a red mushroom on the left.
In between, there is a jiggling mushroom. If you go off the cliff using a

Neversoft, the OP is not asking for those shortcuts. Watch the world record ghost to see the shortcut he is asking about. It involves bouncing off a mushroom and riding on the side of a mountain back to a point behind the start/finish line. It's a trick/glitch that fools the game into thinking you have completed a lap much like the one on Grumble Volcano. The only people who could help him would understand the shortcut he is talking about. It's not a cheat since it's within the game rules/physics/course without any code modification or anything. It's useless when racing against others because you need mushrooms to accomplish it.

Also, to the OP, 17 seconds per laps is slow, try 15 seconds.

Id call this a glitch not a shortcut... a shortcut is like when you cut some grass.. not like when you cut a whole track..

Same with the Grumble Volcano Glitch..

Recently i have done both these, only because it gets my total TT time down (which i need for my clan) But i still feel these sort of Short cuts arent how you play the game..
