I imported Super Smash Bros Brawl from America, but haven't played in about a month because my TV broke and I have a shitty old one in my room now, which doesn't show 60Hz - so the game shows up in black and white. I'm planning to buy a European version but want to know is it possible to convert my US (U) save to a European (E) one?

I've already tried to copy the save onto an SD card but my Wii won't let me, I think its because its American.

Anyone know of any tools that will help me at all?

Thanks!

EDIT: Problem solved, for anyone else wondering how to do this see about 4 posts down.

Here, it helps you extract the file and even tell you if its possible to convert NTSC to PAL save: Click Hereo hai thx 4 ur halp it woz rele useful lol

Cos I didn't already do that, clearly. If you don't have anything helpful to say, don't say it at all.

QUOTE(Jax @ Jun 28 2008, 10:51 PM) Some guy in ElOtroLado managed to do it with Waninkoko's tools and hex editing.

Unfortunately, it's in spanish.

Thankfully I know a tiny bit of Spanish. I've run it through one of those Free Translator thingies and I think I might just be able to do it - use Twilight Hack, run Waninoko's Save Extractor thingy, mess around with the hex code (its more complicated than I am putting it, especially with trying to work out what the garbled translation means) and install it back on. If I figure this out, I'll post up an English guide of the same thing. Thanks for your help!

EDIT: Never mind, someone in the comments section has made a program that does it automatically! You still need to get the save file though.

English Instructions:

1) Copy the save file using Waninkoko's save extractor/installer.
2) Put the program in the same directory/folder as the save files.
3) Run the program, then remove or delete it from the directory.
4) (Optional but recommended) Replace the NET0.bin and NET1.bin of a different European SSBB save (easiest place would be from the save that European SSBB makes as standard, but you'll need Waninkoko's save extractor for that too) with the ones you have just edited.
5) Rename the folder from RSBE to RSBP (if it isn't already done from step 4).
6) Copy the modified save file back onto your Wii.

I haven't tested this myself cos I need to borrow my girlfriend's copy of Zelda THEN go out and buy a European Brawl, but maybe someone else on here can.

Nice I was just going to ask you to make a guide in English when you were done, but when I was quoting I saw that you already had, between me loading the page and pressing the qoute-button

I convert my NTSC-J save to PAL too.

I didn't do step 4 and it still works, plus I get to keep all my Friend Codes etc.

The tool says SSBB. Is there any method available to do this with any Wii game? I'd like to convert my Guitar Hero 3 NTSC savegame (USA) to PAL

hi all,

thanks for this information, I really do not want to re unlock everything.

The problem I have is that I no longer have my NTSC version of smash bros, and it's not exactly easy to find one. How can I dump the NTSC smash bros save using the save game extractor without the NTSC smash bros disc?
