apparently this new Prince of Persia is getting the Final Fantasy treatment instead of what the game should really be about

Its 360 screens, don't get high hopes.

Look at 360 screens of Assassin's Creed and DS players will freak out, if only they have played the DS version.....

Sooo.................

Prince of Persia for DS will most likely uses Ass-assin's Creed engine

Yeah, it's a mockery. I wonder why DS games have to compete with XBOX360, PS3, and Wii. I mean, Seeing games in XBOX360, and then playing the same title in NDS sure will bring alot of disappointment. 360 games are sure to be 3D, while forcing great 3D in NDS might end up with mockery. I kind of feel disappointed when I see a title with NDS,PS3, and 360 logos in their ads

Honestly, I think the DS version's gonna be a last-minute crap job. I highly doubt Prince of Persia will translate well onto the DS.
And it's cel-shaded?? I hadn't noticed from any material I'd seen.
And also, I'm gonna enjoy adventuring with her.

Lol.
On the serious side though, I read in an IGN preview that her AI is incredibly good, and she'll only do anything if you tell her too. She'll also always let you take the lead, and won't do anything stupid.

thats so true.

these kind of 3d games just don't work on a DS. they should rather go for an original approach if they want to squeeze even more money out of a franchise.
the DS might not be capable of psp-like 3d, but it IS capable of delivering great looking games with great fun gameplay. they only need to stop trying to have 3d just for 3d's sake..
it looks shit but its 3d.....yay?

i prefer some nicely done 2d graphics with lots of detail and atmosphere any time over dull, lifeless 3d with a blurry mess of pixels for a texture..

Really? That's a relief, AI these days.......
Look at Age of Empires's AI, so stupid, can't see a good chance when they got one

Well, I just plain suck at Age Of Empires, so I wouldn't be able to tell to be honest. I remember going online for the first time on Age Of Empires 3. I just got absolutely pwned, some guys on it are superhuman, I swear.

I was talkin' about Age of Empires: Age of Kings DS
I think Trolly got confused because YOU got confused, Raestloz. In his orginal post he was talking about the PoP's AI on the 360 version. I mean, that's what I think, or else I'm confused..

I really hope this game turns out to be good.. I would prefer a semi 2D side scroller, but defenitly not like AC:AC (like said before).

Um... no, I never confused. You see, AI everywhere is kinda the same. NDS limitations sure makes it hard to bring 360-level AI, but Age of Empires DS can do better, alot better, that's my point.

I mean, like comparing Celcius and Reamur. They got different measurement, like that

It has already been mentioned earlier in this thread....First Prince of Persia was card based game, and it sucked big time..
Hopefully this one won't repeat that mistake, and HOPEFULLY it won't be using AC's engine, as that game was really ugly and unplayable...

Well, I'm hoping for the best for the DS version, but I'm not expecting much. I am though, very hyped for the 360 game. It looks very good, and I love the PoP series.

But the DS version takes place in a completely different universe and doesn't have that female partner at all.
