Emulation Emulator Nezumiiruka new and best dolphin port!

I'm sure it will be posted here after the official release. But yes, in my tests, it also performs much better than other Dolphin alternatives we have for the Switch.

The primary selling point from the readme:
"It features a hand-written Deko3D backend to give the Switch as much of a fighting chance as possible of reaching the goal of mostly fullspeed GameCube at stock handheld clockspeeds."

Sounds nice. Also fyi the name means "harbour dolphin"

Yeah, Deko3d seems to be closer to the hardware and more efficient than Vulkan.

I played through to getting onboard Tetras ship in a modified Wind Waker Gamecube ( hd + dpad mod/ patch https://gamebanana.com/mods/715287 ) and it ran a solid 30fps using the deko3d driver and even bumped up the resolution to 720p. I was impressed, next I'll try Soul Calibur 2 and Rogue squadron II.

Have you compared it to nagaa's dolphin-nx port? Nagaa's runs really well. I'll give this one a shot too.
I wasn't happy with the perofmance unfortunatelly. In most games, I couldn't run them at double the resolution, and even without increasing the resolution, many gamecube games barely run. With PalindromicBreadLoafs port, that's actually possible. Overall, though, Nagaas dolphin port is still impressiv.

If you can try out Soul Calibur II, let me know how it runs!

If you do moderate CPU OC MKDD is fullspeed. Same with Beach Spikers, fullpeed for majority of the time. There’s slowdowns in certain places but gameplay stays at or near fullspeed all the time.

The game I'm interested in runs significantly worse than even Tico 1.0 😭

Yea wondering what game and if you’re using nezumiiruka.nro or nezumiiruka-Vulkan.nro because Vulkan not as fast as deko3D.

I also was impressed with Naga’s port but having a v1 switch, it still wasn’t good enough for me.

On the other hand, this one has lots oh games that are fullspeed even with no OC or little to moderate CPU OC.

GC
1080 Avalanche - Fullspeed
Luigi’s Mansion - Fullspeed
Eternal Darkness - Fullspeed
SSX3 - Fullspeed
Starfox Assault - Fullspeed
Starfox Adventures- Fullspeed with some dips on cutscenes.
Mario Strikers - Fullspeed
Mario Sunshine - Mostly fullspeed
Wave Race - Mostly fullspeed

Gonna test some Wii next like Punch Out!

Naga port is horrible, i did some betatesting for this one and it's almost ~5x faster.
proves why the "vulkan impressive" is bad
because vulkan on switch is inherently broken and not suited for architecture

For some reason Nagaas one runs better for me. Wonder why it works better for some and not others?
Depends on the game, settings, and Switch model, I think.

One notable example is Sonic Adventure DX. On Naga's Dolphin, I was getting around 25–40 FPS even at 1785 MHz/460 MHz/1600 MHz. Meanwhile, with this version, I can run it at full speed most of the time, with occasional dips to 50–55 FPS and even rarer drops to around 40 FPS, using the same clock speeds.

I used the default emulator settings for both versions, and my Switch is a V1.

Soul Calibur II ran great, but I had to disable FASTMEM or it would crash. 1224mhz didnt run great but above 1785mhz it did better. 1996mhz was perfect with 60fps, even bumped the resolution up one notch. It definitely ran 10 C cooler than nagas Dolphin. Rogue Squadron II ran better too, but I didnt adjust any of the settings. I remember using 16:9 cheat codes provided better performance than using the dolphin widescreen hack. Something to do with requiring less cpu cycles that way.

Wii Games I tested with v1 overclock and 2x resolution:

Mario Kart Wii: fullspeed with 30fps cheat enabled and hybrid ubershaders to counteract missing textures.
ExiteBots: fullspeed.
ExiteTruck: fullspeed with VBI Frequency Override 50% (acts like a 30fps cheat).
