Sick! The original LCS kind of crawled on both PSP and PS2, so to have a native Vita port is pretty awesome. It's great how it's based on the PS2 version too, considering it looked much better and feels right at home at the 544p resolution.

I'm going to try it out, there's no indication of how well it performs so FAFO time

Oh mamma mia, it performs like-a ass much like it did originally.

There are hitches all over the place, and while the frame limiter is broken (you can use a plugin to limit FPS), the resulting 60 FPS limit never ends up being met. Just driving around, the game runs in the 20-29 FPS range with frequent lag spikes. Playable, but comparable to the PSP release in all but the visuals... and it crashed upon mission failure.

Edit: I guess it isn't aaaasss-ass, but hitches are quite bad. Still, definitely make sure to use Framecapper:

Code:
# GTA: LCS (fauxrougee reLCS)
*RELCS0001
ur0:tai/Framecapper30.suprx

I do hope this port continues to be maintained, because it looks very promising. Still, here's hoping that reLCS did address the horrendous performance issues of the originals, because if not, this may just be as good as it gets.

Also, upon closer inspection, this does appear to be AI-assisted at least, and I thought I'd point out it's quite silly how the author added a loading screen in French (with the background being obviously AI-generated).

Thanks for the info.
