KytyPS5 emulator now shows Marvel's Wolverine cutscenes and gameplay

Insomniac Games' Marvel's Wolverine has gone from simply booting to showing cinematics and gameplay in KytyPS5, the experimental PS5 emulator for PC. Progress was shown off in a post on X but the game is still obviously running at single digit frame rates.

Until now, KytyPS5 could boot the game and let you poke around its menus, but not you couldn't get much further than that. The latest build changes that, with both cutscenes and early gameplay running in the emulator. The X post that shows it also lists Ghost of Yotei as showing signs of life:

Ironic that Sony picked the absolute worst time to stop supporting PC

Anyways, I guess we'll see where things are in one month

KytyPS5 is still early in development, but has made huge strides recently in running commercial games. Marvel's Wolverine has also only been out for a few weeks but as you can see good progress is being made which is good news for those wanting to try it on PC as there is no version in the works now Sony has pulled away from publishing their first party titles there.

It is not the only PS5 emulator moving forward. The SharpEmu team recently got six of 55 tested games running at 60 FPS, with another six reaching gameplay at lower frame rates.

Many of the recent emulators and ports are developed with the help of AI. There's a lot of progress in the last 6 months - a huge explosion of apps and improvements all of a sudden. I think the gaming companies are not prepared for this disruption. There's even a guy who made a fully functional Photoshop clone without even knowing how to code.

I'm surprised there is a PS5 emulator already working this far.

Well if you've seen the prices of ps5's lately we should be supporting this project heavy.

I don't have to support people pirating PS5 games!

I have all PlayStation consoles including the 5, as I've always did 1 year after launch purchases.

Kudos to the project, I have ShadPS4 and This on my PC, I dabble with it, even though I have a physical PS4 Pro.

But I also play my real games on my PS5. Since I've already purchased their entire library of exclusives.

But I can mod it if I wanted to...so I don't have to support this emulator, but I respect that it exists.

I support the industry with my wallet....and if I wanted to I can support emulation.

But at the same time, the system has been out almost 6 years, if you don't have one by now, you never intended on getting one.

I also owned every PS console (including the handheld variants) until the previous gen, purchased before the first year, at or close to launch.

I support developers and other organisations who deserve the support. I'd argue the very fact you've pumped so much cash into Sony is closer to not supporting the industry. The console space is doing so much damage, even if people try and imply they support developers jobs (we all know where things are going)

"Generate me PS5 emulator make no mistakes"
SONY... probably!

Meanwhile GBADTEMP doesn't seem too angry about this. Y'all morals are a buffet.

Thanks for your Assumptions, see when anyone mentions how much money someone spends on a platform, they automatically assume that's the only platform. I said I support the industry with my wallet.

And kudos to you having other systems too. I also still have my physical PSP and Vitas, and even the PS Portal, along with every Xbox console ever made, every Nintendo system ever made, Sega, Neo Geo, etc....

But I also have Emulators I use too, Xenia, Duckstation, PSCX2, etc...but again...like I said I respect this emulator exists.
The statement was, I had to support this emulator, my rebuttal was, I don't have to do shit if I don't want to!

Again I respect that it exists for future services, but for most people, they only support it, because they think it's a middle finger to Sony, not because it's just a cool emulator, like all previous emulation processes.

Intent vs. Support is two different things. I respect it as I do the others (SharpEmu, RPCSX, etc.)

I respect they exists, but I don't have to support them was my point...but be assured, I'll dabble with them when they run well, just to play around with graphics enhancements and stuff like that.

Because I like pushing graphics limits, etc. (My brand is Crimson Games, not Crimson Sony Games, Crimson Xbox Games, etc...it's just games!)

I support the industry as a whole - so we can end that debate or assumption, that I'm some kind of fangirl over Sony!

If it plans to get as powerful as rpsc3 then it'll eventually support booting from discs as rpsc3 now does. Emulation doesn't always have to be about piracy. As you said better graphics based from PCs gpu.

You're very welcome, I almost mentioned your own assumptions, of which there are several, but decide not to, as I felt it may come across as passive aggressive

I fail to see how you've read my comment as stating you only purchase in the PlayStation ecosystem, because this is very clearly not what I've written?

You seem to be getting extremely upset over things I haven't said, so the things you say lead me to question what you're projecting?
