@Octoblimp, your Android3ds project is cool!

I agree that Ai projects can be good or bad, which is why I wanted to highlight cool ones.

As far as developer insights go, I like to listen to what devs (such as yourself) have to say about AI since neither an art nor science has had time to develop on how to use AI.

@Vetus_Mundi I agree, I would like to play Gran Turismo on everything as well! I would personally like to see Gran Turismo 1/2 on N64 or DS(i).

I was hoping that in this day and age, AI would be used more emphatically to aid in translation.

I was hoping to see someone come up with a tool to ease up that kind of work, like a game packer/unpacked, text extractor and rom fixer.

But maybe there is, and I'm unable to find it. I'd love to see 3x3 Eyes: Sei a Kourinden SNES game translated.

Yes, I love 3x3 Eyes.

Maybe I'll do it one day.
Codex or Claude are the tools of choice to create it, everything is becoming a piece of cake..

You know what? You are right! My results after a few quality moments with Claude is splattered in these snapshots.
I've been waiting for about 20 years for it to be translated. Now I can respond to the old question "So, what are you doing to help?"

And I am at least making sure I understand what Claude is producing. Funny stuff, this is.

I will be able to play this game one day!

Awesome, trying it all out and see where it leads you is key. Too many people scared or butthurt about AI, in the end you could have the game working in english and other languages just fine and even learning and understanding how to translate (retro)games in general, with your personal (learning) assistant, I think it is just too good..
If I may give you an advise, not just build the game, at the same time you can build a tool to repeat the translation and adapt to other projects.

I have all the tools archived.

Claude is actually very helpful in this regard, as it can explain very throughly what is the rationale behind some decisions, creates all the tools and stores them in a nicely structured folder. As an added bonus, updates them as new requirements are met.

I can hardly believe how quickly it was done. At this moment, the game is fully translated, with a few sentence rework needed, some text formatting here and there and some finishing touches that Claude suggests to make it top shelf product!

I am truly impressed, and can't believe I get to play the game I wanted to play so much after 20 years of fruitless waiting.
