Thrilled to announce the Crowd Supply campaign launch for GB-Link USB V2!
This device allows for online connectivity on original GB/GBA hardware as well as open a suite of tools for GBA users
Current games supported are Pokemon Gen1-3, Tetris, Dr. Mario, Yoshi, and Advance Wars 1 and 2.

Tools include cart dumping/restoring saves, sending multiboot homebrew without a flash cart, Game Boy Printer support, eReader support, pokemon event distributor.

There is also support for a neat GBA MMO project that has an MMO running on your GBA, great showcase for the future of homebrew online.

For Pokemon gen3 you can also connect your hardware GBA to any device running retroarch emulator including phones, PCs, cheap emu handhealds and even switch and 3DS.

Congratulations on the launch — this is a very clever use of the link port.

If I understand the architecture correctly, for utilities such as Cart Doctor the adapter sends a multiboot client to the GBA, which then accesses the cartridge and transfers the data back through the link port and USB.

One detail I couldn’t determine from the campaign page: does the OEM GBA requirement apply to dumping and restoring GBA cartridges as well, or only to GB/GBC cartridges because those rely on switching the console into its older cartridge mode?

The combination of online link play, multiboot, e-Reader and Printer emulation, and cartridge preservation tools is really impressive. Congratulations on passing the funding goal!
