I'm playing it too, I liked it quite a bit. Even though it's in another language, it's playable, at least in my case, since I've played many games in Japanese and Chinese, and even used cheats!
No sure why they have problem with English and other western languages. Is it really that easy to do Chinese and Korean that quite often they can release together with Japanese?

Further point is I suppose from Chinese to English can just get machine to do it. Auto translate from Japanese to English is only half good but Chinese to English it seems machine don't have problem.

You mean to request code for that version? I suppose the game should be popular with Japanese so I would bet code would be made for it? It is highly unlikely for me to make cheats for Japanese game that talks a lot. I would only last for a minute or two not doing anything meaningful with a game. That also apply to game in English that waste too much time talking.
I also expect porting to that Japanese version is a piece of cake for people who knows how to do it.
Maybe write to the developer tell them next time just put every language into one title. Some even have not ready language in there. I remember some game have English language version file in the game and renaming the file to fool the game into reading that file let you play in English. It's as simple as extracting _en file, rename it to _ja. Put the file in contents directory of the title. This title I have don't even have the _ja in there. It's bucking the trend of Switch/Switch2 games being region free.
