Is there any way to play Virtual Console (n64) games with a Mayflash 4-port Gamecube Adapter?

I have a family edition Wii and Gamecube controllers, so I'd rather not waste money on another controller if I don't have to.

Not that I know of. Nintendont (for Gamecube games) is the only Wii software that supports that adapter AFAIK.

Nintendo's Virtual Console software only works with the built-in/proprietary controllers: Gamecube or Wiimote(-attached). One of the homebrew N64 emulators might support some USB controllers, but I doubt they support those 4 port gamecube adapters (which were designed and released for WiiU and on).

Okay thanks. Also do you know if classic controllers can be used alongside the gamecube adapter on Nintendont? Eg. Player one uses gamecube controller through adapter, player two uses classic controller. Because if not, I'll probably just get another Wii with the ports built in.
