These games don't need a cache. They load into virtual memory automatically; you just need the correct ROM set. I used FBA_v0.2.97.39

I don't know if there's a libretro core for this but MAME 0.64 actually will run Ninja Baseball Batman much, much faster than FBA, I remember using MAME 0.64k to play this game online with my friend when I had a really slow computer.

EDIT: MAME 0.64 came out in 2003, there is a "MAME 2003" core in retroarch but it's based off of MAME 0.78. Maybe worthwhile to "backport" the 0.64 nbbatman driver to the MAME 2003 core?

Good idea. On MAME2003 for Wii, it's marked as working, but I get a DSI error. I'm going to port it to that version when I can and see how it goes. FBA ALPGA 2012 for Wii is slow; I thought it would be faster since the FBA Neo Geo and PGM cores can load heavier games than MAME 2003. On Wii, it can't.

There are definitely scenarios where MAME is a lot better than FBA when it comes to performance, I'm surprised Retroarch chose MAME 0.78 for the "MAME 2003" core when 0.64 is a lot faster and was also the basis for MAME kaillera gameplay for a while, I hope someone ports 0.64 to the Wii because I think it would genuinely run far better.

It looks like I select a resolution that is unsupported on my TV and now all I get is a black screen. Can someone point me to the file where I can change the resolution and provide me with a safe resolution to switch it to please?

New core for the Sharp X68000 C68K Cyclone. The previous one was the M68K Musashi. This core is a bit faster and supports HDF files instead of using M3U. Multi-disc games can be converted into a single HDF file for better compatibility, and frame skipping works correctly. In the settings, the CPU speed should be set to 10 or 16 MHz for it to work well, and the RAM to 10 MB. The "Save FDD Paths" option should be disabled to avoid errors in some games. It also loads .dim files. Note that HDF files sometimes take a little while to load; you have to be patient. This new core can completely replace the previous one. I ported it from the RetroArch PC PX68K, converting it from Little Endian to Big Endian for Wii. I haven't been able to test it thoroughly yet, but I hope it works for you. This emulator needs BIOS files, which go in SD/RetroArch/System/Keropi. The BIOS files are placed inside the Keropi folder; it won't work without them. it only allows me to load games by creating a playlist; it doesn't allow me to load games directly. Loading them with `load content` doesn't make the core appear; I don't know if you have that problem.

They had to be added one by one. I'm leaving the list of working games. I forgot some puzzle games. The PGM IGS core works well, thank you very much. The only games I can’t get to work are Knights of Valour 2 and Martial Master. It seems to load the ROM and sprites fine, but then it crashes with a code dump. Are these the two games you mentioned where you have to disable the sound for them to work?

Spectral vs Generation runs for me at low fps – not as smoothly as I can see in the video you uploaded. Do you play it without sound?

Also, how does Alien vs Predator run on the Jaguar core?

I’m really grateful that you’re sharing these new cores. The old Wii is still bringing us joy.

Alien vs Predator only runs at 5 fps most, but I haven't tested it without sound. Could anyone give me the idiot's guide on disabling audio?

Why use a Wii to emulate a Jaguar? From the devs perspective i get it, its the challenge, but from the user, why?

If I ran the heaviest ones without sound, it greatly improved the gameplay. The others that aren't working for you are because you don't have the correct ROMs. Keep searching and trying; you'll find them.

This is how I disable the sound; it gives a significant FPS increase in demanding games. After disabling the sound, save the settings and exit RetroArch for them to take effect. Do this on the core you want to improve performance on.

Hi there Wii aficionados!

2 questions about the latest developpments:

-Trying to get the new NeoGeo core to run the latest homebrew games, I cannot get the romcnv_R2 app to create the cache file for the roms. The process begins but ends with an error and no cache file gets created in the folder. Can the rom cnv_R2 convert all games old and new? or does it have to be updated with the new games data to be able to convert them?

-About the PGM core, can someone hint me about which rom variant is needed to run Knights of Valour 2 Plus (kov2p.zip). I tried from 4 different sources, all load the sprites roms, but then code dump, exactly as @cheloruiz79 said... Or is it one that needs the sound to be disabled?
