since gbatemp has some history with 8 ball pool (the 2016 Miniclip banning thread), figured it's worth an update on where the scene is at now.

short version: it got significantly harder after 2023.

miniclip hired actual security people and the liba2ac library that got reversed back in 2023 has been updated multiple times since. the main challenges now:

on android:
root/emulator detection has gotten layered. basic magisk hide + safetynet pass isn't enough anymore. there's a secondary certificate pinning check that catches a lot of setups that would've worked fine in 2022.

extended guideline (the main feature everyone wants):
still doable but you need current offsets for whatever version you're on. miniclip patches frequently enough that public repos go stale fast. the trajectory calc location has moved multiple times in the last year.

what's basically dead:
coin generation and server-side currency manipulation. anything promising "unlimited coins via APK" is either lying or doing something that'll get your account wiped fast.

what still works:
aim prediction tools that read the physics locally and overlay the trajectory. the detection-resistant implementations use non-obvious hooking points rather than the obvious function signatures miniclip now looks for.

anyone else been following the scene on this? curious if there's any active development on the gbatemp side I've missed.
