'Final Fantasy VII Rebirth' launches on Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox

Square Enix has today launched Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC with Xbox Play Anywhere support. This title is the second in the Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy and was previously released on PS5 and PC. Accompanying today's launch was the new trailer shared above.

Set across a vast and vibrant planet, FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH sees Cloud, Tifa, Barret, Aerith and Red XIII escape from the dystopian city of Midgar and head out into the wider world. To hunt down the ex-SOLDIER Sephiroth, a haunting figure from Cloud's past who is now bent on ruling the planet, these unlikely heroes join forces with new companions, like the spirited ninja operative Yuffie and the wisecracking, feline-shaped robot Cait Sith. FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH delivers an unforgettable experience to players that’s filled with unexpected twists, memorable characters and jaw-dropping set pieces that longtime fans and newcomers can both enjoy.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is now available for Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, PlayStation 5 and PC.

the OG ff7 is awesome but the remake is complete garbage imo. ive played both the first 2 parts and its a clusterfuck imo.

theres a little bit of nostalgia feel but how the sliced and diced it up making each game pointless to go for completion it just doesnt have the magic of the original.

my advice is if you play this game push through the story. dont focus on getting everything because it doesnt matter one bit. nothing carries over and alot of the side quests in the game are pointless.
