Originally launching on the 27th of May 1986 on the Famicom as Dragon Warrior, the series now spans across 11 mainline entries and a whole heap of well-received spin-offs. To celebrate the 40th anniversary, the Dragon Quest team have today announced the release of a 10 minute update video.

Those interested in watching it as it goes live can do so via the official YouTube account. The video will go live at 2pm in the UK, with your regional time showing on the video's page.

In 12 I hope they'll add another gimmick that nobody would use to otherwise stale-as-ever combat

It would be funny if they finally announce the release date for DQ12, like next month or something. Also Switch 2 update for DQ11 would be nice too, free of course.

I would love to see remakes of 4, 5, and 6. I would also like a remake of 8 (and 9) in the same way they did 7. I would definitely love a full English remake of DQM 1 & 2, as well as all the Joker games. A full English remake of 10 (both offline and online) and news of 12 would be great.

Lol DQ12 MC looks like a stoner kid with edgy hair do. It's the eyes that don't look right, too big, too lazy......

Actually, it's kinda make sense that he looks the way he does. The game is sub "Beyond Dreams" and guy looks like he hasn't slept since Obama was first in the office.
