This is looking really good so far.

Would it be possible to add an option to remap the “hold START to boot last played game” shortcut to another button combo?

Also noticed that pressing R in the settings menu gives a brief blank screen before loading the SD menu. Not sure if that’s a bug or just loading lag.

Another small thing, the recent play menu showing “0B” at the end is kinda distracting.

Version 6 has been released for the Omega DE!

This update completely overhauls the menu system, adding a new Start screen and a modernised Settings screen.

Favourites have also been added and can now be launched directly from the Start screen.

All colours from the DS operating system are now included, with dark mode support for every colour option.

You can also choose between title-screen thumbnails and box-art thumbnails for your games.

For all the new features, changes, and instructions please check the included txt files in the download.


This update only supports the Omega Definitive Edition. Unfortunately, working on both was significantly holding back progress and doubling development time.

Could you try the new version 6.2 to see if that fixes it for you? You only need to reflash the new ezkernelnew.bin if coming from 6.0

I'm messing with some alternative backgrounds and you can get some nice results. If anyone has some backgrounds they would like integrated just upload the images at 240 x 160 resolution, and tell me which you want light or dark and I'll make a special version for you. *Update: Customiser coming soon, so I won't need to do it for people.

I've redownloaded it and it's there for me. What archiving software are you using? It works with both the default windows explorer and 7zip for me. The download should be 48.5 MB (zipped) for reference, is yours?
i truly just did the same exact thing and extracted it using the windows default and now it's there. idk what's going on lol
 
Now i think, maybe a light Pokemon Emerald theme can be great. Because everytime we think in the GBA, we think in Pokemon Emerald.
This can be the background and add some Pokemon related icons (Like Pokeballs and berrys) and use Rayquaza related colors for the Ui.

I decided to whip up a little customiser for people to use. Still finishing it up but I won't need to make it for people and you'll be able to get it exactly how you want. Will probably be uploaded later today. (Preview on the main post)

Hi everyone. Just published the thumbnail scraper. You can scrape from libretro options, local artwork, and set per game exceptions, it also lets you add thumbnails for your homebrew games. I will write some instructions, but for now any old information or videos about setting custom thumbnails applies. It's just much easier now. Also, the 120 x 80 option should be compatible with the stock kernel. Hopefully it works as is, but please let me know if anyone has any issues with it.
