The Wii was working perfectly fine before expect it didn't read any discs, this was like a 12 year old problem, so I bought another drive, but once I connected it to the TV no image appears on it, it's a completely black screen, also there's some behaviour with the DVD drive too, so right now these are the issues and probably the rest are due the first one:
Any help is pretty much appreciated.
The Wii was working perfectly fine before expect it didn't read any discs, this was like a 12 year old problem, so I bought another drive, but once I connected it to the TV no image appears on it, it's a completely black screen, also there's some behaviour with the DVD drive too, so right now these are the issues and probably the rest are due the first one:
- Wii doesn't show any screen at all, I didn't interact with any other areas of the Wii that weren't the ones needed to replace the DVD drive, I followed the IFixIt guide. The led on the Wii is green when its turned on and the DVD drive blinks blue.
- The console can be turned on with a Wii controller so i think we can discard the bluetooth thingy not working
- Control doesn't sync when the green light is on, it only works for turning on the console
- The DVD made the startup sounds every time I turned it on.
- When I inserted a DVD, it swallowed perfectly fine, but I didn't heard the drive spinning at all.
- When I restarted the Wii with the DVD inside, the drive didn't make any sound.
- If I press Eject the DVD doesn't come out, if I press Eject while the Wii is on standby mode, it turns on but doesn't eject the DVD
- Same thing happens if I connect the old DVD drive
Any help is pretty much appreciated.
