God DAMN. As someone who paid for a Plex Pass long ago (and at a discount) I am not affected but even so...holy crap that price spike.
It's enough to make me ponder if Plex is about to shoot themselves in the foot and maybe I ought to consider changing to a different media server that doesn't rely on any architecture I'm not hosting locally (since Plex's local resources still rely on connecting back to Plex for account authentication, meaning I still need the company to exist to use their interface).
EDIT:The link I posted doesn't seem to be working anymore. Maybe they're considering walking it back?
Their main blog page still has the link to the news article so you can see I'm not just blowing smoke about it (until such time that they pull it down, I suppose):https://www.plex.tv/blog/
