How do I apply a Wiimmfi patch to Mario Kart DS (or connect with Wiimmfi)?

I was trying to connect to Mario Kart DS (using melonDS from the Play Store) and it shows that it's connected with the three green dots, but it takes a minute to load, and as soon as it loads, it gives an error saying "Nintendo WFC service has been halted" (or something like that), or, if it's not that, it's "No compatible access in range" (or something like that). Can anyone help me? I use a Mi 9 SE.

You don't need to patch anything, you just need to change the DNS in the WFC connection settings.

I tried both on windows and android and I didn't had to setup anything actually...
MelonDS does everything for you.

Maybe it's because I activated the DSi firmware, probably?
