It's so fucking tasteless compared to fresh or dried fruit. Canned pineapple is nice but the others are so bland they're not worth eating. Who the fuck would buy that shit?

The pressure cooking process cooks all the flavor out of stuff.
It doesn't help that they add even more sugar, as if fruit wasn't sweet enough already.

It's been a few years, but when I was a kid there was a can of "cocktail fruits", everyone wanted the cherry... That in my mind was like an unreal red, straight from the chemical plant or a comic book... But my recollection is that it was great. Peaches and Pear halves were good too... They were conserved in sugar I'm quite sure.
The only thing I buy canned nowadays is Ravioli, I have earlier bought Goulasch soup in a can, but that's about it. I'm not a prepper, if the world goes to shit I'll rob the people who prepped; for as long as it'll work out... And when it's over, it's over, I hope I go out rather quickly, but I also hope I'm conscious and aware that life is over, I want to meet death... Anyway, that's my opinion on canned fruit.

I do recall some canned pears and pineapple being a excellent snack from Del monte. There is also jumex that's pretty good which is fruit nectar aka probably the same juice from the cans.
Out of rebellion did they eat, actually. Wanna touch the red hot stove with your bare hands if your daddy says "no" and see what happens?
Fruit nectar is just juice diluted with sugar. Buy real juice instead.
