contact amazon first.
from nintendo side ;
they solved the same situation for a user who bought a banned S2 from facebook market place, he provided to them messages/screens of the transaction.
they unbanned his switch 2.
it was in usa, he talked about it in a youtube video ( can't find it cuz it was not the main title of the video ) but i saw it.

ps : in europe the same thing happened, nintendo dosen't care and redirect you to your seller.

Was this amazon amazon, or amazon marketplace which is any old shady seller just like on ebay and the rest? You seemingly got one probably not from amazon, if you did, then somehow Nintendo re-packed a refurb somehow as new and didn't unban it? That seems not likely.

If you like the system that much, call Nintendo and give them proof of purchase off amazon if it really is them. If it's amazon marketplace they might not be as helpful and suggest a return, and may either way. Try Nintendo to save a headache, if they can't help, then force a return-exchange.

RIP. That console is useless. Report it to Amazon, Nintendo doesn't care if you bought it 2nd hand or not.
Not useless. He can use MIG Switch :tpi:

Close to zero. Clearly that is not brand new, so you should get a refund regardless. It's not even worth trying to get it unbanned if you paid full retail price for it.

I tho switch 2 games cant be dumped,no?

Look at your order. Who was is being sold by and who shipped it? Amazon or a 3rd party? Might want to let people know so others can avoid the seller if it wasn't both sold and shipped by Amazon.

"Used - Mint"

I've no idea what that says, but guess it's Amazon Warehouse. Yeah, just send it back and get your money back.

Amazon Warehouse deals can sometimes be brilliant, a lot of them I've bought are pretty much new, but you didn't have the same luck.

Yeah. Someone bought a new Switch 2 and returned their banned Switch 2 to Amazon. You should let Amazon know exactly what happened as they most likely have record of the person that would be responsible for the swap. While probably unlikely, the person should have some kind of consequence, imo.

Jeez, I thought Amazon checked serial numbers... I guess not. Whoever did that is a damn shitbag and clearly not an honest person.

Yeah, I would imagine that Amazon would have a record involving the product serial number, which they could then identify what orders were done involving it, who the recipients were. I would say though, TC should have checked if the serial number on the console itself matched the one on the box. If they are the same, then some person before them ruined the console they recently bought and sent it back that way, but the return can technically be easy. But, if they are different, then the prior owner did a swap. If Amazon does check matching serial numbers, then they may reject the return. But if that were the case, they would have rejected it before.

So unfortunately, this unit is going to be circulating with Amazon with every return made. TC did their return, but someone else is going to get it now.

Amazon needs to sell it at a massive discount or send it back to Nintendo... I'd assume the latter is the better option.

Can Amazon request Nintendo to unban the console so they can resell it?

Lesson learned...be careful about what you buy, and who you buy it from.

I don't buy batteries or electronics from any 3rd party sellers...just straight from Amazon itself.

Also, I'm not sure what the laws are in Germany, and what Amazon can get away with, but in the US "refurbished" is **supposed** to mean almost like new. Here in the US, "Amazon refurbished" means somebody at the warehouse just took a dirty return, just dumped it in a box and mailed it to you. Be warned!

Well, folks have been able to get their systems unbanned from used games by providing evidence that they had the games in question (because likely, the games were bought, ripped, returned, and then sold as used). I dunno if Amazon can simply ask Nintendo to unban it, as Nintendo would need proof that everything is in order. So I imagine that if Amazon has a system returned to Nintendo, Nintendo will put it back into circulation unbanned. That is, of course, if the serial numbers match.
