Installers in the EU / Europe

Another satisfied customer of @evil_santa. As the others here wrote very professional.
Perfect communication, answers fast to all questions and keeps you updated through the whole process.

Had the Modchip installed on my Switch Lite and also had the Joysticks replaced with the new TMR sticks.
Including shipping back and forth all took just a week!
Very reasonable pricing for a perfect service...

Can fully recommend!

@evil_santa would you message me please?
I think I need help from a more advanced modder.
I am looking for help for my OLED.
All was working well for months, then I got emmc slow message.
I installed a new, different DAT0 Adapter.
It was again working well for some months, now I don't get the slow message in hekate, but Benchmark only shows 240 / 200 MB/s.
I suggest this is a problem with the emmc, maybe needs reflow?
If possible I would send it to you or someone in Germany for fixing and Kamikaze, as I don't think I should try this myself.
Thank you very much in advance!

I sent you a message. I'd be happy to repair it for you and solder in a kamikaze.

Never heard something like that, don´t install illegal thing and you are good.
Doing it in Germany and EU, kamikaze , etc
Its not illegal. Plenty of people have ads here for Switch modding. Nintendo can do nothing about it

I know one from Germany that got busted, that was in 2020 though (and a shop, not "just a forum user"). So yes, there is a risk, especially if it's commercial. I don't know how active Nintendo is nowadays (they are still trigger happy with DMCA's at least...).

Got any proof that it was Nintendo's doing or you are guessing it was because of that? If its a specific law in Germany, sucks for them. But again, I would need any quote or proof or better yet law that anything like that even happened or exists. In here, what you bought is yours and modchipping is a service like any other and N can scream all it wants.

Yes, I have the letter from the lawyers on behalf of NoE. They cite copyright laws (§ 95a) and the law against unfair competition (§§ 3 Abs.1, 4 Nr. 4 UWG). Note that it didn't go before court but it was a cease and desist and Nintendo's chances would be high before court, that's why the person in question signed the letter. I don't want to sow panic or anything, I just stumbled upon this thread and read the last few posts where people were a bit too eager to say it's 100% safe. And yes I do agree that Nintendo should have no say what you do with your console.

(EDIT: The copyright law in question says that bypassing any sort of technical protection is illegal, this should be the same for pretty much every country)

Interesting. IMO they must have offered or advertised piracy related stuff. But idk, I am no lawyer. Modchip itself does not equal piracy. I am glad our country mostly does not care at all
