The real funny part is that those "bugs", never work in the opposite direction, like allowing the users to get "non free" digital game downloads without paying. That specific parts of the code are the most protected, why would that be?

That's a bit strange, to say the least.

Digital is horrible and would face huge problems like internet outage, knock servers offline, company end online support and if what power grid destroyed then all services get knock off then internet broke down permanent. It will take long months to repair power grid to bring internet on again slowly.

DRM is worst ever period. I don't support digital period and stopped give money to company.

Do people even know who Lance McDonald is, what his connection to Sony is, and why he would start spreading this nonsense around? Obviously not. Are you insinuating that people who buy digitally keep their consoles offline for more than 30 days? 😂 If it's not a bug, it's still a complete non issue.

The point is that when you use the terms "retard" or "fake news" (I am not suggesting you used the first), you are automatically putting yourself in the 🤡 category that is not to be taken seriously. Only fascists use the term "fake news" to dismiss stories. And yes, it is the dying Playstation ecosystem. The Switch buried it in the current generation and the Switch 2 vastly outsold all Playstation devices combined over the past 11 months since launch. MSFT has also left Sony in the dust with the PC platform, which Sony is now shooting itself in the foot by abandoning.

shit, i guess i don’t deserve the software i purchased because i live in one of the many places within the united states that has a spotty at best internet connection. you reek of “i literally cannot fathom anyone who exists outside of my current life circumstances”

If you're buying digital games, you're not worried about a spotty internet connection to begin with. Try harder next time. Or, wait. Let me guess. You're traveling to a place with no internet service and no cell service with any means to contact anyone in case of emergency and you'll be gone for over 30 days. LOL!

Um. If the claims are real then all digital purchases are made useless as soon as the servers shut down. That is not a "zero issue". That's a big deal.

Nevermind the fact that it allows them to revoke access to anything they want even if you keep your console offline. Which is something they've shown multiple times that they're more than willing to do.

Reading that this is about being a temporary refund/return period license and after it expires it will be turned into a permanent one. Supposedly to close refund exploit loopholes. Kinda hope this turns out to be true, just to expose the outrage factory that is the internet these days.
