Hi I'm new to Switch Hacking but running into an error. I got Atmosphere (1.11) installed on my V1 Switch (OFW 22.0) and I'm trying to install an NSP from a reputable source through Awoo.
I installed the latest sigpatches and even rebuilt it with my own keys through NSC_builder, but I still get an "Invalid NCA Cert" warning and then a "Failed to install" error, no matter whether I try to install it to the SD card or internal memory.

I'm also new to the Switch homebrew scene. I accidentally updated SYSMMC with CFW (luckily, EMUMMC with CFW and SYSMMC OFW are still intact) while trying to back up some save files that I couldn’t back up when I first hacked my Switch. I'm getting the error “Unknown pkg1 version HOS version not supported! Trying to backup bootloader.” Is there any way to fix this now that the latest version of Atmosphere is available?

Hello, I am having trouble getting a romfs mod working. It's for the Lunar Remastered Collection to replace the music in the game with the music from the superior Saturn version. The mod is originally for PC. And the software to repack and unpack the files works the exact same for the files on both the switch and PC version. Extracting the romfs files for the switch version shows an identical file structure to PC, as well.

Pretty much installing the mod is unpacking the data.pak file that is the majority of the entire game, replacing the few files that contain the music, then re-packaging the file back into data.pak.

However, I can't seem to get the game to recognize or even read the re-packed file in romfs. Is it a case of the file being too big? It's a 2gb file that is pretty much the whole game being loaded as a .pak file. I also tried loading things as loose files, but that didn't work either. I have the file structure set exactly as how the romfs dump output is set up. The mod is under atmosphere/contents/[gametitleid]/romfs/[properfileorder].
Any insight is appreciated, thanks!

Hey, i dont really know how to operate on here, but i hope someone reads this thread. I need help. asap.

I softmodded my switch with this Youtube video : . Now i got a fully functional emummc and homebrew. Now i would like to install some games. I heard about tinfoil and tinwoo. Now if i want to download the latest version of both of those it still says its not updated or this abi or api which always is stated in hb. so naturally i think to upgrade my atmosphere or just anything. After that my hekate just wont boot up, there are no main boot entries or i cant load into the emummcs and some host code 06 failure. i need help

Hi! I’ve had a modded Switch for three years now and I've never used the OFW. However, with the new Pokémon games coming out, I want to start using it. I’ve always used an emuMMC partition and followed standard YouTube guides. When I tried to boot into the OFW just now, I saw my CFW apps appearing there. I turned off the Switch immediately, and now I don't know how to clean my OFW so I can play Pokémon safely.

You probably have been using sysnand CFW this whole time

Is there anything I can do about this? I saw two apps that I haven't had for years

If there is nsp installed then you won't be able to go online, depends on what you have installed.
Can I just delete the data on my OFW? It’s not the same as what I have on my CFW; it looks like very old data. I don’t have anything important there, and since I’ve had my Switch for years without ever using the OFW, I don't mind if I have to completely restore it

Depends on if you owned the contents, if it pirated contents you would get banned if you play pokemon online as the NAND isn't clean.

I got a switch OLED cfw. Using Atmosphere and Hekate. Nintendo firmware ver 21.2.0. Game works fine. I never go online as people said there is a chance to get banned by Nintendo. I don't play online games on Switch anyway, so all is good.

The problem is, when I wanted to play SNES and Sega Genesis - Nintendo Switch Online, it asked me to go online and link a nintendo account. Is there a way to play those two games without going online? I tried the games on ryujinx, and it runs, but I just want to play it on my switch if possible.

Can't asks here, read term and rules.

If you don't have a clean NAND backup then you are out of luck if there nsp installed on sysnand.
Hey, I think I found the backup. I have an old folder with a bunch of files in it; one is called 'backup' with 'pkg 1' and 'pkg 2' files. Is that the right one? How can I know if the file is complete? I don't want to brick the Switch.

What you are looking for is the boot0/boot1 and the rawnand of the NAND backup

sys-patch is what you're looking for.

Hi Everyone,
First time approaching to mod switch.

I just did the mod chip installation yesterday by myself on my old (but fully working) switch lite, and everything went smooth!

I follwed step by step this guide:
https://switch.hacks.guide/user_guide/modchip/preparing_hekate

I was able to boot to CFW emuMMC 22.0 and AMS 1.11.0. Hombrew running correctly, I'm able to transfer file trough FTPD, use Goldleaf, etc...

Then I've installed the latest Sigpatches and sys-module, Here's the links:

In my windows PC I just did copy/paste/replace on the SDCARD for both zip packages content.

NOW the issue:

I'm' trying to install with Goldleaf any games NSP and I got the error:. 2356-0009 Invalid NSP (all the NSP I have are games spliced with NSP Splitty).
I've tried to remove strange character from NSP name, and all the suggestions you find online, nothing.

If I try to install TINFOIL NSP, it installs correctly but when I launch it it force closed with some generic error.

I'm new to Switch Mod but Really I've trying everything I could and read everything I can! I'm getting stucked right now and I don't know how to proceed!

Maybe I downloaded the wrong sigpatches package for FW 22?
Maybe I shouldn't use NSP Splitty? But how to split 4+gb games? (bakup of games I own)
Why even tinfoil refuses to run?

Really looking forward to your help.

Thanks a lot,
HS
