So do we have a new "main guy" to listen to for official Atmosphere news?
I'm on 21.2.0 | AMS 1.10.2|S and it's already forcing me to update if I want to browse the eShop or use YouTube. I don't really play offline but I use CFW Sys way more than CFW Emu (it's just easier to switch between both that way since I don't have a jig)

the maintainer for the official atmosphere repository is now hexkyz.

there might be a official release for atmosphere 1.11.0 with 22.0.0 support soon, but i believe it's holding out a bit to see how switchbrew handles the hbmenu/hbloader required fixes / pending testing / last few changes

you could build my https://github.com/borntohonk/Atmosphere master branch but apply a "git revert 10344e30f2e4586d964767a78d4cff127c98f706" to remove the commit which embeds patches to have the "official" 22_support branch experience with the two incoming PR's applied ontop. ( https://github.com/Atmosphere-NX/Atmosphere/pull/2764 and https://github.com/Atmosphere-NX/Atmosphere/pull/2763 )

the attatched build is that, limited to only ( https://github.com/Atmosphere-NX/Atmosphere/tree/22_support ) + the changes from those two pull requests. Nothing extra (unlike my other post, which has embedded patches and other added features to atmosphere)

What about Alula? Are they working together or doing their own things separately?

What about them? they submitted a duplicate PR hours after me for the initial enum PR (which they added to).
and their ztd commits got removed in the 22_support branch by hexkyz.

https://github.com/Atmosphere-NX/Atmosphere/pull/2743 (mine)
https://github.com/Atmosphere-NX/Atmosphere/pull/2744 (Alula's)

only the emummc bindings is what was taken from my PR, as mine (despite being first) was marked as duplicate.

No no, I'm asking if both Alula and Hexkyz are working together or if they're doing their own things separatly and I should only wait for Hexkyz news.

Yes, what about them? What significance does Alula carry? hexkyz is the maintainer, who actually writes without claude code or codex.

It's an open source project, nothing they have done so far is controversial or worth mention, i point to my own PR for the matter, as proof, that one does not need to farm for attention on x/twitter and submit code in silence.

So as of now I cannot use online without an update. Seems like to even download the update for Pokemon Home (and I assume other applications), you need to update the system. Been holding out for over 2 weeks but will need to update soon. :(

Atmosphere is still not updated to 22.0.0. Is there still a lot of work to do? For those in the know, was 22.0.0 a massive change under the hood? Bigger than usual?

Unless you're in a HUGE RUSH to play Pokemon I don't see why you couldn't wait just a bit more. Seeing the Github thread seems like it could be ready any day now.

Just give it time, good things come to those who wait.

For me, it's more about who is the most experienced to do the work than ill intention or anything.

I don't get why you have such a personal beef towards me and try to frame me as incompetent, stealing code from you or whatever, and you keep slandering me in different online places, discord and 4chan (yes I figured it's you lol).

Regarding that pull request, I made similar changes and attempted booting around 1-2 hours before you submitted said PR and I've even mentioned that on the ReSwitched server. I've only opened the PR in response to you (and as you can tell by some mistakes in it, it was very rushed) to let people know it's being worked on.

Yes, we have been working together all the time.

I have a track record of doing this type of stuff before LLMs even existed and I didn't use them to write any of the commits.

So far the only person submitting hallucinated AI slop was you, which as a side note was a nice demonstration why they are absolutely useless if you need very niche, specialized knowledge: https://github.com/Atmosphere-NX/Atmosphere/issues/2729#issuecomment-4150380472

he literally just added compression after we've put some effort to understand the algorithm more that's all lol

Let's not escalate this further, it's unproductive and absolutely doesn't make sense to start drama here.

That is good to hear. Is this update taking longer than normal because it is a massive update with a lot of changes, or is it learning how to update and build new features in Atmosphere? Or a mixture of both? I'm just curious.

just curiouse is this patched for tinfoil

All the overlays/homebrew and games I have installed are working fine with the new Atmo, test on 21.xx and 22.xx firmware. Nice - good job Atmosphere team. Quake 3 homebrew on 22.x.x has good frame rates, so nice.

If alula actually wrote with AI, SciresM would have banned them a long time ago. He's making sure that no AI touches Atmosphere.

I get that you are annoyed at Alula seemingly stealing your thunder, but if you were around the Reswitched discord, you'd see Alula actually taking interest in how Atmosphere worked shortly after SciresM announced his retirement. Also, they were working (and sharing their findings) on 22.0.0 in the discord before and after you posted your pull request.

I have two questions about this statement.

1. How exactly can he make sure no AI touches atmosphere when it is open source and under GPLv2?
2. Is he still reviewing code even after retirement?
