I'm posting using Google Translate.
Some Palico names are displayed in English.
Since I'm playing MHXX, I'd like to download Palicos with Japanese names. Is that possible?

I've used this tool to go back and forth between xx on 3ds and gu on switch and its worked fine but now I can't seem to make the 3ds version detect the converted save. Is there something I'm doing wrong with the checkpoint transfer?

So it suddenly stopped recognizing it? Can you send the save file?

Seems to work perfectly fine for me. Screenshot from 3DS. Not sure what could have gone wrong, maybe try again, make sure that MHXX 3DS is selected when exporting?

I could be importing through checkpoint wrong but I'm not sure
Hmm, the only thing I can think of is making sure it's exported as 3DS, and saved as "system" in extdata. You can also copy it as "system_backup" as well. You could try using JKSM instead of checkpoint too, if it's suddenly not working.

Hello, I have a question. If I'm importing my MHXX 3DS save data to MHGU Switch, is it safe to play online if I already have the MHGU bought from the eShop? Thank you!

(Sorry if the question sounds dumb, I just unearthed my old 3DS and found out the save data transfer app service is discontinued ;_;)

Yes, it should be safe. The sole reason I made this to begin with was to transfer my own save from 3DS to Switch, which I've been safely using this whole time. Of course though, as always with anything modding related, use at your own risk.

Is there a way to export the 3ds version to switch? My switch is not modded but my 3ds is.

Is there a way to export from a modded 3ds to switch 2? Thanks.

Unfortunately, you do need a modded switch to import the converted save. If you had one that could still connect online, then you could use cloud saves or save transfer to get it on a switch 2.

Oh got it! Thank you very much for the answer SilverJolteon. Time to get a modded switch then hahaha. I have around 300 hours on that game and I just bought yesterday for switch. I'm going to try it! Thanks again

Anyone else encountered not being able to save? MHXX just refuses to recognize the SD Card. But other games can save just fine.

So the workaround is: do not load your MHGU (Switch) save to convert and export it to MHXX (3DS JP) directly.

Instead, 1.) load your MHGU (Switch) save, 2.) export your character. 3.) load your MHXX (3DS JP) save (created from the 3DS console itself) 4.) import the character into the 3DS save. 5.) export the save (still as 3DS JP save).

Then send it to your 3DS. It will load without crashing and would allow you to save your game. It will recognize the SD Card.

Sorry a bit newbie on this. It works fine for everything else (Palico and bonus item) but when i try selecting event quest, the game just froze. Currently running on android Azahar, MHXX 1.4 rom. No importing from anywhere else, started new game on Ayn Thor

That's odd, I tested on PC and it works fine, so it may be an android issue? I'll try and do some testing to see if I can replicate it. Let me know if you find a fix on your end.
