So I'm using these codes and plugins to improve Majora's Mask 3D, but am encountering a weird bug when putting the N3DS into sleep mode, which not only breaks the Cstick functionality but also does not properly put the game to sleep, the clock keeps running when closed. Any idea why the plugins/cheats create these bugs? And what can I do to fix it?

Any idea why the plugins/cheats create these bugs? And what can I do to fix it?

Preliminary things to try:

1.
Wait until you're in the actual game, not the main menu, to enable the cheat
When enabling the cheats from Luma, click the cheat on and off before exiting the menu (cheat will still be enabled but could help with stability)

2.
Try CTRPF instead of luma to activate the cheats

3.
Disabling/enabling InputRedirection, which sounds like it might be related to your C-stick issue
It's in Luma menu->Miscellaneous Options->Stop InputRedirection

See if any of these help.

That would be to ask to the original repo of the 3DS port. Not really here as I'm not sure how well luma plugins works with non-commercial games, and just homebrew stuff.
FYI, I just found out someone already tried this! There's a copy of the 3DS compilation with increased 3D, but unfortunately it runs into the same problem many of the codes do where there's texture spawning all around the edges of the screen due to how the original was culled.

Oh well! At least someone tried. And MAYBE someone here will figure out the texture issue eventually.

Side note, even if it worked perfectly, I would have been so annoyed because that port also has the AWFUL full 360 analog camera controls that a lot of SM64 ROM hacks have, which turn the camera into a game-long constant chore to fiddle with. I have no idea why romhackers think that full analog camera control makes SM64 better. It's like almost unplayable for me to have to constantly move it around all the time.

You can usually disable PuppyCam wgen building it.

@Moogley I'm pretty sure you can still press a shoulder button to bring the camera behind Mario in "phantombulit" 's build from Reddit (I think they mistyped their name lol), or check the Render96 Downscaled version, that one still has the single-press short movement camera, but it doesn't feel good with the CPad Pro / CNub: Download Link

Hi @Moogley , guess who's back! (Kinda) :p
There's new codes for you to test if you want, or for everyone to try out.

Hi @Moogley , guess who's back! (Kinda) :p
There's new codes for you to test if you want, or for everyone to try out.
Well howdy, stranger! I hope you've been well!! I can try to test these out in a bit; I'm not sure if I have those games though. Lemme see when I get home.

I've tried periodically to find codes myself for getting rid of texture pop-in in games like Animal Crossing and Dragon Quest VII, but I'm so bad at it 😅 I couldn't even find the code for Shovel Knight's last update (the amiibo update). Sigh 😅

I’d love to see

1.) the professor layton games with no depth codes
2.) The Phoenix Wright games with no depth

Also, is there a way to set no depth as the bottom of the range while still allowing depth when you want it?

FYI, I just found out someone already tried this! There's a copy of the 3DS compilation with increased 3D, but unfortunately it runs into the same problem many of the codes do where there's texture spawning all around the edges of the screen due to how the original was culled.

Could you show me where to find this increased 3D version? It's something I've always wanted and don't mind the culling artifacts. The puppy cam on the other hand... hehe

I have all the cheats from this thread for Luma 3DS right here, wrote them all manually so there is some Japanese titles missing and potentially a couple updates I didn't implement, but all English games supported should have some version of this 3D cheatPut in the cheats folder on your SD card

THANK YOU nanashifnal13 for making these codes that still blow my mind every time i play. are you still working on codes?
You'r welcome! These codes are the first ones i've made in months. I have been very busy this year, my fiance and i built our house, moved, new job, etc. I have tried to fix some codes, like Xenoblade, but no luck. But the main goal still remains: 3D codes for all games that i can, and support all regions.

i don't think that would be posible, i already try it last year and the result was not good.

Unfortunately, this isn't going to be possible, most likely 🙏

New Super Mario Bros. 2 uses a weird filter for the background, rather than true parallax layers (compare to Shovel Knight). Changes to the 3D parameters can pull the HUD elements forward, but they can't really create depth. It just doesn't work, with our current understanding of how to do this.

It's very similar with Yoshi's New Island as well.

I don't know if this was a cost-saving measure or a stylistic choice, but we're stuck with the blur, haha. These are definitely B-team games.

Congrats!! That's amazing to hear. I still need to test the new codes. I just bought a house myself 😅

Why do we have to be responsible adults when there's important 3DS stuff to do??

Could anyone help me troubleshoot? I am trying to use the depth ++ code for Majoras Mask but everytime I go to select the code from the action replay menu it gives me a warning with the message 'Do you want to save all changes to current file?' I am not able to save anything, just kind of create and delete folders and files. I have the code saved as a text file under the crtf loader and under a majoras mask plugin folder in luma. What am I missing here lol? Any help would be appreciated.

Hello, I tried the 3G code, but after about half an hour, the machine would report an error and crash. After restarting, the extended controller could not be recognized. It returned to normal after shutting down and restarting

Have you tried loading the code directly from luma instead of using ctrpf at all?

Congrats for you'r new home! Im really happy for you!

For real, yesterday it was 2011, i was a teen, and i just buyed the 3DS and now im a full adult?! No way! And i have to be a responsible one? Come on! :rofl2:

There's still a child in me who marvels at seeing the 3D effect of the console and who dreams of improving it even more!
