Apperantly this game had a big private Playlist last week lolz. From what I've heard this game was supposed to launch as far back as 2023 and was preparing to however development was very bad I guess.

From what I've heard there will be 48 playable characters at from Marvel to Disney to 20 Century etc. A huge online focus (not sure what that means) an online hangout area where you can sell custom skins and other stuff. As well as a 6 hour long 2D platformer story mode campaign.

Supposedly this game was going to launch at $60 in 2023 however after the failure of other platform fighters. Disney instead is deciding to launch it at $25 and make up their losses with DLC. In terms of scope this also isn't even a small game and outside of characters and stages should be able to rival Smash. Some techniques such as a "wavedash?" Will also be in there.

I'm not sure when this game is supposed to drop I've heard some time in Summer 2026 or possibly Fall due to GTA 6 releasing. There are also other images floating around showing Black Panther an Ice Age Squirrel and a few others, however I don't have access to these

I will say that I like the polygonal-themed modeling of the characters, but these images do leave me with some doubts.
  • Peter Griffin doesn't look quite on-model.
  • The stage for Scrooge McDuck's image looks a bit too Zelda-esque. I don't know if there's a Disney movie that fits the style, but it makes me wonder if the game truly has been in development since 2023.
  • Furthermore, why is Scrooge's coat see-through on the lower portion?
  • The Lilo and Stitch image has me concerned because of the font and how everything is implemented. I feel like Nintendo's lawyers would take a close look at that shot and see an opportunity.
  • Why are the shots so close to the screen? Wouldn't people in the meeting notice someone taking photos?
I'm not even sure we're still in an era where we can have "off-screen grabs." it's not like the old E3 days.

TL;DR: I'm sorry, I remain skeptical.

peter griffin? yeah, this is definitely fake.
Not trying to say that's is the case and all, but it looks like this is Disney Peter (because of the bigger chin and nose), basically a Peter from a dimension where everything is Disney-like (yeah, this is a real Family Guy episode. Even the art is different). And besides that, now that Disney acquired Fox, they have the rights to use the character.

yeah, but i dont think they would put peter in a kids game

The thing is that I see a lot of opportunity for Disney, so they would entertain a project like this.

They could put in characters from less-popular/forgotten Disney films, and that'll help protect the copyright and boost interest in the IP. Like Smash Bros., less violent characters (like Bambi) can be relegated to support roles, blurbs on a trophy screen can explain character origins, etc.

I would expect Disney to make the same mistake as other platform fighters and launch with a sub-par roaster, which would lead to initial criticism.

I admit that I'm still not convinced of the images above, but I do think it's an idea that Disney would entertain. I could easily be proven wrong, but with AI, it wouldn't take much work to whip up images like these and do "off-screen grabs" to hide any inaccuracies.

Since I am pretty sure Disney would be in serious trouble had they blatantly stolen background assets from Smash, I'm going with "Holy hell, this is so fake, whoever did that didn't even try to hide it"...

the scrooge background looks too botw and the lilo and switch one looks like a kirby or nsmb stage, i don't play smash so i have no idea what stages these could be but they're far too nintendo for anything disney related
