Hi can I get confirmation. Upgrading sd card on a OFW switch (can’t be hacked) I just copy over the Nintendo folder right? And it has to be FAT32 also or can be exFat?

Just copying the content from the original SD to the new SD card should work. If you want to play it safe, format the new one to FAT32. But as you're not using CFW, I guess the risk would be minimal to use exFAT if you really want to.

It's rare for the chip itself to be the problem. They are all almost the same. 95% of the time it's the soldering.

But to answer your question, yes it's likely that all the flex cables can just be inserted into a new chip. Assuming you get another lite modchip of the same variety as your current one. There are different kinds.

Again, I doubt this will fix it.
Even a "long" (1-2 cms extra) cable can create problems

@masagrator I always wanted to know the same, what do you think
Thank you one last question do i have to get the same exact chip (image 2) or can I get a different one as long as its lite?

limiting battery charge is pointless, any somewhat modern device with a rechargeable battery already has a circuit that prevents it from charging to a point that would be harmful for it

the best thing you can do for battery health is to leave your thing on charge as often as you can, then it's not charging/discharging and going through battery cycles

Modchip switch. Booting into black screen after Hekate logo, after updating to 18.0.1 on EMU
followed guide: Ultimate guide (can't post URL)

installed atmosphere 1.8.0 and booted fine. Now just booting into blackscreen after firmware update. I also can't get into hekate, the splash appears and then goes away. Please help me understand how i'm stupid.

edit: UPDATE YOUR FUSEE.BIN

Unfortunately, formatting your Switch won't clear its telemetry.

Taken from this thread, this is the only safe way I know of to "remove" problematic logs:

Any other way is probably not safe enough and ban may or may not be immediate.
alright thank you. I was VERY worried. I did back up my nand before I did anything else. So ty

The EmuNAND files should be stored on>

SDMC:/18.1.0/emuMMC/XX##/eMMC (on my case XX## is SD00)

Your NAND backup is on
SDMC:/backup/SERIALNUMBER
1732739596366.png

And if you want to restore your NAND backup you must put it on
SDMC:/backup/SERIALNUMBER/restore
1732739673360.png

THE BACKUP SHOULD BE STORED ON MULTIPLE LOCATIONS ON YOUR PC, OFFLINE MEDIA EXTERNAL HARDRIVES, ETC. AFTER THAT YOU DON'T NEED IT ON YOU SD CARD.

The restore one is needed on the SD Card ONLY if you plan to restore that backup soon.

The EmuNAND location(s) are needed for your EmuMMC works.

ok thanks but that didn't answer my question and did you look at my pic? cuz I don't have the bin files located like where you do.
Indeed I did answered your question, The folder you depict on the picture not inserted on the post, should be empty unless you are going to restore a NAND backup soon.

I have a question. I restored an old nand backup (fw6.0) on my switch and created an emummc. The issue I have is that I was able to update my sysnand but emummc is still on fw6.0 I want to update it and have cloned the sysnand but I have nothing installed so everything opens in applet mode. I tried to install some games but I keep getting this error 'checking if the software can be played'.

I tried to install hbmenu nsp from here but that just shows up as corrupted

Can someone please help me?

NVM i fixed it. Turns out the games I installed needed a higher firmware and maybe even the homebrew stuff which was why it seemed corrupt. Anyways I installed an old game and then updated emummc with daybreak.

Okay, so I'm planning on buying an unpatched Nintendo switch v1 (models made before july 2018) is it true that those specific models can update to the latest version of the switch without being patched. Also can I go online on MLB the show 24 for example and play online as long as it's a official version of the game that is not pirated or cracked?
