Another thing, I've just used DBI to install Mario Party Jamboree and it gives me these messages;
[TRANSFER OK] [SIGNATURE: Invalid]
[TRANSFER OK] [SIGNATURE: XCI => NSP]
[TRANSFER OK] [SIGNATURE: XCI => NSP]

[TRANSFER OK] [SIGNATURE: Invalid]

Perhaps this means that the sigpatches aren't correct?
Those messages are related to the NSP file you've installed which is an XCI converted into the NSP, therefore signature will definitely be invaild. Thankfully, DBI fixes those issues during installation so it should be fine. Game should work properly if you have the latest sys-patch installed and you're on 18.1.0.

What is the Sys Patch? I've not head of that one before... Thank you, that makes sense. I installed many XCI converted to NSP games in the past and never got that indication but it's probably because it's an older version of DBI I was using!

Both Echos of Wisdom and Jamboree didn't install correctly, actually... I had an icon on the homescreen for one of them which was just a continuously blank square with a loading circle in the middle which would never load the icon. The other one just failed to install completely.

I'm just about to put sigpatches on the SD card again in case, and I'll try to install them again after updating the firmware of the console to see if that helps! Will reply shortly.

EDIT- Looks like it was the Sys Patch, I didn't know that was a thing, I don't remember having to do that when updating the console previously.

Added the Sys-Patch to the SD://Atmosphere/contents and the .Overlays to the SD://Switch folder and Bomberman R now loads correctly again, sigpatches were correct. was just missing the Sys-Patch.

I have one remaining Issue, now. Mario Party Jamboree installed perfectly through DBI707, so thanks for the help Blythe93, but Zelda Echoes of time gives me a CRC error on one of the installation parts, possibly a ticket as it's a .NCA file. I can't read Russian however ahaha do you think this is a bad download?

If the game works, it should be fine. NSP might have been tampered with as it's usually the case with some of the release groups. Not sure about that particular file from the site mentioned in the image, will check it in a bit and reply back if it's faulty or not, but either way DBI should "fix" those issues.

EDIT: I've downloaded the file hosted of fichier and it seems OK from what I see.

Thanks Blythe, I'll download that NxFileViewer so I can check myself in future. I'm not sure why it won't install, but I've downloaded it from another site and it seems to have installed fine so... I'm not sure what the problem was.

Cheers for your help with this one, much appreciated!

and the latest overall which is Russian only is 707
Forgot to mention that 708 is the latest one, you can watch this download page in order to receive notifications for any future updates. @Dust2dust is actively maintaining it for us on GBATemp. ^^

I'm not sure if I should make a separate post for this or write it here.

I have a V1 Switch which got it's M92 Chip replaced when it just stopped charging out of nowhere. So I sent it for repairs and when it came back, I couldn't dock it, because the dock would start blinking and I was always charging it with my 65W Laptop charger but ever since it came back, I can't even use the original charger or my laptop charger, only the phone charger works. Which part of the hardware could have been damaged that it doesn't charge on higher voltage anymore?

Just wondering if there's any benefit to having the latest version of Hekate on my Switch? I've only ever used Atmosphere, never used EmuNAND before but never intend to go online anyway so I guess that's not an issue.

I just saw it's been updated to work on FW19 but not sure if it's something I actually need or want ahaha

It doesn't hurt to have the latest versions mainly because the bugs get fixed over time. But other than that, I don't think it's worth upgrading just yet because Atmosphere's next version with 19.0.0 is yet to be officially released. Plus, you'll be missing out on sigpatches / sys-patch as those probably need to be updated as well. Also, In 6.2.1 loading Atmosphere's package3 via Hektate's fss0 was initially broken for a while for unpatched v1 Switches. Luckily, it didn't take long for Hekate devs to fix that issue.

You'll be fine until new official Atmosphere comes out (and updated sigpatches/sys-patch and some other sys-modules you may be using).

Hello!
Been a while since digging around here and playing with Switch so just wondering if there is a noob guid to get me up to speed.
I have v2 switch soldered chip and ancient SX OS with Tinfoil v16 running and main system is in version 11.0.0.

What's the best way to get this setup up to speed with latest system and whatever the best modern alternative is to SX OS?

Sorry for silly question...

Here's a good one to start: https://gbatemp.net/threads/ultimate-guide-to-upgrade-your-firmware-atmosphere.661148/

I'd suggest that you backup your save files if necessary so that you can restore them later once you switch to Atmosphere. Not sure which app works on SX OS, though, as I didn't use SX OS for that long (at one point I wanted to give Atmosphere and SX OS dual boot a try and gave up for the time being as it was much easier to have Atmosphere only which is up-to-date CFW for Switch). You should probably format your microSD card afterwards to FAT32 (after you back up anything you deem necessary, like your SX OS licence, saves, console specific keys and backups) or get yourself a new one and set up Atmosphere CFW on emuNAND.

You can follow this guide from here, since you have a modchip installed. I'm not sure if you need to update your modchip, though.
If you're using SX-Core or SX-Lite, check this out as well. Again, I'm not familiar with the modchips as I have an unpatched v1 model.

As of now, firmware 18.1.0 is the latest supported firmware by Atmosphere CFW (1.7.1), while 19.0.0 is still being worked on (there's a Atmosphere 1.8.0 pre-release on the GIthub which you can check out if you want, but you can skip it and update later sometime once everything's ironed out). Sigpatches/sys-patch will need to be updated for games to work on the latest firmware and Atmosphere CFW, so I'd suggest that you stick to firmware 18.1.0 and Atmosphere 1.7.1 for now.

For game backups to work, you'll need sigpatches and/or sys-patch module (recommended).
Here's the sys-patch module that works on those versions.

As for Hekate, I believe that you can update it to the latest version without any issue.

Since you are on 11.0.0 you can set up dual boot emunand if you want, if you want to play newer games you need to use Atmosphere.

Thank yo ufor the replies! All looks great! I think I will go with Blythe93's suggestion and looking alongside at Nephiel's link to tutorial there.
As for dual boot that's a bit too much faff, want to keep it simple.

Question About Exosphere in Second Hand Switch

I am going to buy a secondhand switch. The user only used emuNAND and his sysNAND is clean. But what concern me is he didn't used Incognito or Exosphere while using internet ,tinfoil, youtube or even he said NINTENDO ONLINE, in emuNAND. He even opened FC 25 but said the game turned itself offline and didn't connect to any online feature.

I am a simple man I want to play Smash online on sysNAND and story-based games on emuNAND. Am I able to install Incognito or Exosphere after all this use and be safe? Will there be a ban risk, (highly)? Thanks.

Since he already went online with them in emuMMC without protection, then the console is already flagged for a ban. Time will tell if it will end up banned or not but from this point forward, there is nothing you can do to prevent a ban.

I got ahold of Pokemon Shield along with an update for it + DLC and installed it all using Tinfoil. Upon clicking the title after, it asks about downloading an update - is it referring to the update I've imported or is it trying to get me to download an update from the official Nintendo servers?

Hate to double post, but I also have another issue.
I tried downloading a different game but it's separated between two parts. Literally. Two .part files. How do I combine it into a recognizable .nsp file?

Maybe you're on lower than required firmware for that game?

PART files are usually incomplete files, make sure that they are fully downloaded or try another download source, there are a couple of them (we aren't allowed to post links to them here).

I used the rentry guide to set up CFW and update occasionally over the past few years. Now that it is gone, what is the most well trusted guide for people who previously used it? I can update myself from memory of how it is done without issues but to be cautious I always prefer to follow a trusted guide incase there are any changes or important things to know. I would prefer not to use archived rentry anymore as it is no longer updated. I plan on updating when the latest atmosphere pre release is made full. I do see there is a guide linked here at gbatemp already and that is probably fine to use but have always been paranoid and extremely cautious about this so wanted to ask if that is what people are using and recommend.
